- Hi guys in this video we are testing top speed of volkswagen virtus 1.0 tsi automatic .
variant we have here is Top line version which has a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine ( 115BHP AND 178NM) with a 6 speed torque convertor.
Volkswagen also offers virtus with a 1.5 liter TSI EVO 4 cylinder (150BHP AND 250NM) variant with 7 speed dsg

I just pushed up throttle with virtus on Dzire 2010 petrol . I know it’s upper segment but that Maruti na engine kicked in till 140 kmhr, then in 5th gear virtus crossed me . But with was not so long gap , I thought it gonna smoke me no way .
I think the benefit of a top higher speed is just that you can cruise on high-speed highways as these cars are built for that. So as 120-140 KMPH highways come up in India, these cars will fare much better than others. Like EPE connecting Delhi to multiple states already has speed limit of 120 KMPH but I see people still driving at 80 KMPH occupying all lanes, including trucks occupying overtaking lanes also. LOL.....
And of course, sometimes you can really enjoy speed when roads are truly empty.
I went 160kmh in Dzire (Yes ignoring all safety when I was stupid in college) , this car getting to 190 is really amazing given the engine and weight of the vehicle

virtus 1L is locked at 187kmph otherwise this 1L engine is capable to achieve 198kmph which i have tested in my polo gt tsi
Please avoid driving and shoot video with mobile on one hand. You are not risking yourself but others on the road too.
If u want to shoot pic video go for head mounted camera or head/chest mounted mobile mount.
You need to have both hand on the steering wheel when driving.
And driving with one hand at triple digit is very irresponsible.

Vibrations are slightly visible because of the 3 cylinder engine , but not by much .

Bhai , i will try , but according to my test jese hi speed increase hoti with a margin for 20km/h , mileage decrease hota hai around 2kmp/l , to 120km/h pe ye gari around 14kmpl to 15kmpl dedegi
I got around 13.5-14 with that speed... Driven for 800 KMS

Bhai , it is very slightly noticeable below 1500rpm , after it is smooth as hell

Mileage in city will range from 9kmpl to 10 kmpl with ac and ventilated seats and in Highway around 16kmpl to 18kmpl

Bro 1.0 l has more than enough power for our roads, you will only feel lack of power after 160km/h , but if you can get the 1.5 l pls go with it as it is in a league of its own , it will give you the feel of bmw 320d on a budget , 1.5tsi evo with a 7 speed dsg is a match made in heaven
@@JunaidsTech but my cousins not recommending the dsg gearbox because of its well known issues that i just came to know, whats your take on this?
Also, mom and dad will also use it , so its a concern for the gear box if it is what people says it is the dq200
Bro Volkswagen have improved the dsg gearbox in the virtus , and if you have concerns about the long term reliability, then you can always go for Extended warranty on the gearbox, but you will not need as virtus comes with 4 year warranty
Not a problem, as I am using my vento gt dsg 2020 1.5 Tdi from last 3 years and it is running flawless , just service it on time and you will be good to go for around 1.5 lac kms

Noise is not visible, if you are above 1700rpm over taking is not a problem

Problems/issues/shortcomings reported in virtus/slavia:
• Rattling and squeaking noise from everywhere
• Break noise
• AC ineffective
• Transparent/open part of the sun blind making the AC ineffective by letting in sunlight heat
• Exhaust smell coming into cabin when in recirculation mode
• Parts falling down on bad roads
• Noisy windows roll motor
• windows roll up/down not working properly
• Noisy ventilated seats
• Engine noise
• Gear stick breaking and coming to your hands
• Jerky rides on lower gears in DSG
• DSG lag
• Wireless charger heating
• Android Auto disconnecting
• Steering alignment issues
• No disk breaks at the rear
• No physical control for AC
• No height adjustable seatbelt
• No sunglass holder
• Only typeC port available
• Less wider seats at the front making it uncomfortable for wider people
• No dynamic guidelines on reverse camera
• Low quality/resolution reverse camera
• No full blown TPMS
• No sun glass holder
• Uncomfortable back seat recline angle
• Low mileage in city
• Low quality plastics and cheap materials used for India Spec 2.0 models
• Inability of service centre to resolve issues
