    Man I’m enjoying this restore.
I just wish I’d found it after you were done so I could just watch the whole thing in a couple days.
Cant wait to see how it turns out.

I always start my cleanup projects with an acid wash and pressure washer. Takes off all the oxidation. Gets you ready for cutting and polishing fast.

This project was nicely done. Having the shop right next to the storage must be nice for parts. Have you considered more reliable jack plate other than Sea Star.

Honestly out of the 4 that I've put on, I've found the Sea Star jack plates to pretty impressive! Have you seen them failing?

Nice work. It’s been fun following this build. One thought for you. Get a Jackplate actuator cover in the same style as the others you got. Don’t mix and match. 😊

You are lucky to have a shop inside a marina that you can work out of. Pretty sweet. Plus, you have access to a forklift and other heavy equipment? Dang lucky. Keep restoring boats my friend.

Amazing work, whoever gets that Boston Whaler is a very lucky guy, just a quick note, I have suggested chlorine to clean the interior and some of those black spots but not to be confused with bleach, is nowhere near the same.

Similar thing happened to me with my old Merc 250 2 stroke. The upper motor mounts were done for. I lifted the powerhead to replace them and the bolts were completely sized into the swivel bracket. You couldn’t even tell which metal were the bolts and which was the swivel bracket. Luckily my local Mercury dealer let me walk through their bone yard and sold me a complete swivel and trim unit for $500! Back in business!

Hi, I was wondering what you thought about the cheaper hydraulic steering system like vevor? If there worth it or you should just stay with mechanical steering?

Minn Kota needs to put an analog switch on their shallow water anchors along with the remote like Power Pole does. It gives you a backup just in case the battery in the remote dies or if you happen to lose it. That way you can still use the anchor without it and you don’t have to worry about the thing getting stuck while it’s down.

    Hey Aaron!
I’ve been a huge fan of your channel for over 6 years now, and I really appreciate the time you take to share your insights. I had a quick question about today’s video-while watching, it seemed like the serviceability of the Sea Star Jack plate might be a bit less user-friendly compared to something like Bob's Jackplate. I’m curious, what influenced your decision to go with Sea Star, and in hindsight, do you have any second thoughts or considerations about it?
One of the things I really enjoy about your channel is how often you respond to questions like this, adding depth and helping viewers understand the decisions behind your choices. Keep up the amazing work, and thanks for always being so engaging!

Well thank you! Um, this is the 3rd or 4th Seastar Jack Plate I've put on, and I've ran quite a few now on boats and I gotta say, I'm actually really impressed with the quality of them and the price point and the ease of installation. So that's why we went with this one. Not that Bob's or CNC or Atlas aren't still amazing Jack Plates, but the Sea Star is pretty impressive :)

Think your putting to much into that boat …it’s a Whaler but still only worth so much market for that boat is they want a project or they want it stock …they don’t care about shallow water anchors or new electronics
