Great video - Publicity Association have never brought out something as good as this - they would have paid big bucks for this if they had commissioned it. Really showcases our town as we who have elected to live here know it - one of the best places in the world. :)
i was there 22 years ago, loved it. spent too much time and money in the Gonubie hotel, also went to a club near numbers with a few friends Brent,Mark,Warren,Terry, that closed about 5 or 6 am! can't remember the name of it. good times, excellent vid.

These shots of EL are lovely, but as the old saying goes "nice from far, but far from nice", no power for hours on end every day and at night, the City Council is broke and ready to declare bankruptcy, even the petrol stations won't take Council cards to buy petrol. Lovely little city with big problems.
East London coast line looks impressive from the sky. Happy memories growing up there, shame the South East of London where I live now doesn't have a coast line like this. Cool video, what is the drone that took these wonderful videos?

Andre, is there any possibility that you could do a video of the houses on Torquay Road, in Bonnie Doon. I know some of the owners might be a little miffed, but it's one East London's hidden gems. I had the privilege of growing up there, happy memories!

I really enjoyed the video. You know when its hit the spot when you wish that some of the sequences were a little longer? A few of the homes I lived in along the Nahoon River are featured, also good to have a little reminder of my father's final resting place in the end sequence. Thank you! Haven't been in East London since 1991, can anyone elaborate on "Beacon Bay Crossing" and "The Hemingway Casino" please? Also, is there a longer version, if so please post it?

+The Travel Vlogger Hi, I have a DJI Inspire 1.Just be careful there is aircraft that fly along the coast and sometimes lower than 120 meters.This video was done before the regulations came out, which was 1 July last year.Don't fly in the main city centre like I did..Just keep in mind that the whole of East London is a no fly zone because it falls within the 10 kilometer radius of the airport.

Hi Kevin, I will do it when I go that way next time. To answer another question you asked, Hemingways is a huge shopping mall that opened a couple of years ago near the old Diesel Depot and Beacon Bay Crossing is across the off ramp from Retail Park which leads into Beacon Bay.

I made a challenge with myself to through a dart at a map and travel wherever it landed. And it landed on east London, South Africa. So that will be the first place I travel I guess lol
