Watched through both boxes today while I was organizing, sorting, and re-bagging my tiny collection (2 short boxes and a long box!). Great fun hanging out. Thanks, Chycho. :)
Awesome video! Great to see your enthusiasm for the hobby! Like you I just love those old Valiant books and you are absolutely right about those bright panels and interiors, love them!
Rai is awesome! I spoke to one of the Valiant folks at a convention two weeks ago - and he said there's some good stuff coming for Rai in the coming months.
That's good to know, thanks. Rai is one of my favorite characters in the Valiant universe, nothing else like him... well, other than Bloodshot that is :) By the way, how did you like all the different Rai's they went through in the 4001 AD cross-over. I thought they were brilliant, especially the child Rai.
chycho it made for brilliant storytelling. I'm digging the whole rebellion against father, the eye opening truth for the Rais. the next arc should be pretty epic.
Great stuff. The sounds when you were cracking into each package was fantastic. I'm a huge Daredevil fan as well and I can't believe the deals you got on these! I do non ASMR comic vids on my channel if you want to take a peek.
Thanks, brother. I was definitely very happy with this buy, very :) As for your channel, I just watched your latest upload, the start of it with the drink was sure ASMR-ish, as were parts of your commentary. And the comics you shared, great selection. I've been buying a few of those as well. Some amazing reads.
I like your soft spoken ways, I am traveling around the world or better stated living abroad for a few years first in Europe, now in South America. I sold everything as the storage in upscale NJ could reach one thousand a month. I purchased a great deal from ebay before I left, when I return I will return with empty pockets, and will need to visit ebay, estate sales and a realtor to begin again, i like comic books because they take a tiny space, but i never had any I just had a ton of expensive furnutre yuppy style, when i return I want a nice comic book collection, video equipment etc,, a good computer and sofa and bed, living a less yuppy style.

Great video as always man, your production and overall delivery is top notch. Great stuff. On a side note, who are your top 5 comic book characters? Mine are The Punisher, Ghost Rider, Hellboy, Goon, and Bigby Wolf.
Oh Wow! Bigby Wolf reminds me, I need to get back into Fables. I love the Punisher and Ghost Rider. I actually Have the Marvel Spotlight appreances of Ghost Rider, as well as the First series and the 1990's series (man I loved that series). Hellboy I haven't really got into, for some reason the movies turned me off of the comic. And I don't know the Goon - I should look into it. As for my top 5, in no particular order: John Constantine, Rai, Punisher, Lobo, Spider Jerusalem... but since it's really hard to fit my loves into 5, here are the ones that are also part of the top 5: Bone, The Flash, Conan the Barbarian, Ghost Rider, Maxx.
Just realized I didn't include any villains is that list, so here goes: Thanos, Darkseid, Harada, Master Darque, Carnage, and of course The Joker when done right.
Hello. I don't know much about collecting comics, but aren't they supposed to remain sealed for value purposes? Or in this case it doesn't matter because they're used? Cheers!
There are collectors who like to seal comics, put them away and never touch them. I'm not one of those. I like to actually read my comics. That said, I take very good care of them, especially the ones that are mint, so they retain their value, so I do protect them.
Hey chycho, really enjoying your content and in fact in fact ive also been keen of comics since I was a kid, never had a chance to collect or buy though - I live in eastern europe and didnt have the western-type of DC and Marvel distributors. Can you provide me with a website or a trader whos selling collections - by that I mean one who you put your trust into? thanks in advance!
+antikoerper256 In general I search for what I want to get on ebay and check a users feedback. If they have anything less than 100% feedback rating then I think twice about it. I check the bad comments and then decide if it was just a bad buyer or something that just happened to go wrong and how the seller reacted. I also check to see what the shipping charges are going to be and if they combine shipping. If they do combine I contact them and see how fast and how good they are with their communication. If they are willing to help and have decent shipping rates then I'm game. Most of the collections I've bought on ebay, the best buys anyway, have been from individuals that are either selling their personal collection or from people who happen to have come across a collection that they are selling. All of the above said, I do have one seller that i check regularly, and I usually don't do this but I'll give you his ebay user name, it's "comdude22" and he's based in Canada, and I do tend to buy from sellers in Canada since I'm based here... I'm not connected with this seller but so far everything I've bought from him I have been happy with.
+antikoerper256 By the way, the collection in this video was not bought from the user I mentioned. Sometimes I surf ebay for quite sometime before I find someone I want to buy a large collection from. I do enjoy the searching process as well.
Hi, Love your channel and i love the comicbook video's the most. I have watched these video's over and over and over. Do you also collect trade paperback and hardback comics or only single issues? Groetjes van Jen.
Hey Jennifer, sorry I didn't reply earlier. For some reason RUclips is not sending me notices for new comments anymore... argh! As for your question, I have some trade, probably pushing 100 or so, but I don't actively collect them. Their my reading books that I take to the beach. I'm basically a floppy collector and when at home I tend to read those.
Last year I did buy Daredevil #1... I am also on the look out for X-Men and Spider-man's, but in low grade since that's all I would be able to afford. As for Batman and Superman, if I win the lottery, hell ya! :)
benzlover55 yeh man glad I looked that up: "...but little or no scientific explanation or verified data" im here for comics. You might enjoy it but this is not for me.

haha... you're very welcome, brother. I love just forgetting about everything else and diving into a long box. Nothing like it :)
I always enjoy these vids. Very interesting, peaceful and fun.

Skip intro 4:20, man 👌. One of my first, if not THE first, run-ins with Mr. Chycho. Glad I found your content, brother!
haha... if the opportunity presents itself I do try and include my favorite number in the videos ;) ... and glad to have you, brother. Peace :)
Lovinh that background and the fact you open the box at 4:20!!
:))
you should read the what if books if you have any if i had to choose two i would choose what if #46 and #31
They are fun reads, that's for sure. Next time i go through my boxes i'll keep an eye out for them.
yes :)

Too right about Canadian shipping
I just learnt about 'the losers' through Superman rebirth #8 & #9, as a tribute to late Darwyn Cooke.

Complete MAD collection would be amazing. Best gift ever :)

Totally Canadian? Or maybe Middle Eastern from the looks or Scot or Irish from the voice?
Will you ever go big and acquire an issue #1 of one of the big classics (i.e., Batman, Superman, Spider-man, X-Men, etc.)?
Last year I did buy Daredevil #1... I am also on the look out for X-Men and Spider-man's, but in low grade since that's all I would be able to afford. As for Batman and Superman, if I win the lottery, hell ya! :)
