  • First of all my apologies for the incorrect spellings of Yordas in the video. Once the video is saved the captions are locked in and can't be changed.
    Yordas cave was a show cave in Victorian times. It can now be accessed free of charge. The main entrance is in Yordas Wood in Kingsdale in the Yorkshire Dales. A stream flows along the back of the main chamber. To the left is a low passage that flows under the road and reappears as Kingsdale Beck. To the right is a chamber called Chapter House Chamber where a thirty foot waterfall cascades from Yordas Pot. The main chamber is several hundred thousand years old, eighty feet high and one hundred and eighty feet long. It was visited by William Wordsworth in 1800 and sketched by Turner in 1816.
