these peoples doesn.t give you a real tutorials ! forget it, so many tutorials are on there website but some of them is uncompleted there ! they do that knownly !

I only have the free version of Hitfilm and I used Gimp to create clean layers with original head removed (clone tool etc.) and then I used tracking in hitfilm to match the camera movements (so these Gimp parts can be aligned to the video footage with correct camera shaking etc.).

this is super good, like very good, what im trying to figure out is how to cut a character out of a show, for example, cutting walter white out of breaking bad and putting him in avengers, like how, do you need to put a green screen behind him somehow?
Anyone else hadn't initially realized the final shot was a replacement of just the head?
When I was in VFX school one of the classes did this as a project. I recall one of the guys put himself in the scene from Titanic with the ship sinking. He was wearing an inflatable floaty ring shaped like a ducky. LOL

It's a good thing a certain prescient tutorial from last year was *ahem* "Sandman" based, or Javert wouldn't have been available for those scenes.

Is there a specific name for this editing style/technique, where you take a person from one video and add them to another? I want to find more tutorials but not sure what to search. I know about using rotoscoping to "cut them out of" Video A, but I want to learn more techniques for making it look natural when you "paste them in to" Video B.

We do not offer editing services. Though there are now built-in tutorials in HitFilm to help bring your own editing skills up to the challenge.

Great job. I should use Chroma key more but always get transparent pieces and, frankly, all the options are a little confusing.
Can you do, or point to, a tutorial which covers use of the different chroma effects and when to use them?

@@FXhome Thanks Javert. I read the manual more closely and realised that a lot of the options match the Matte Cleaner and Spill Removal that I've been using. They have different names but more options. I re-did some of my recent keying and it makes a big difference (with a little more effort of course). Much appreciated.

Robert Cioata I’m not saying it doesn’t look as good, I’m just saying Film Riot literally did this EXACT same thing with the first Avengers trailer. These guys did a great job, but they’re not acknowledging that somehow else did the exact same thing and even gave the same tutorial.

Chill guys. Hitfilm and Film Riot guys are friends and have done videos together too. In addition, there are more than one video of every effect in youtube, and it's only a good thing for all of us watchers.
DeepFaceLab would probably have been a cleaner way to get your face on Tony's body, although you'd get his hair

Your using mocha pro which is not apart of hit film you have to buy the pro version, although i think normal mocha will do the same job though right? The effect looks seamless though 10/10
I didn't use Mocha Pro; it says "Mocha HitFilm" right there in the Controls panel and at the top of the interface.

which pack did you get? content creator or VFX artist
The VFX atrist add-on pack would be best for recreating this tutorial, although you can purchase each individual add-on needed if you so wish.
