- We’re celebrating Teckademics’s 20th Anniversary this month! Sean Murphy and I started Teck in January 2002.
We signed the Hashiriya DVD back in 2003/4. It features Japanese car culture in the early 2000s. - Dustin
Description:
“Long circulated on the underground circuit, HASHIRIYA is a Japanese drifting video with a blatant disregard for the rules of the road. This sought-after document of import insanity is chock full of footage of illegal street racing, police chases, and all sorts of other highly dangerous activity that puts normal, law-abiding citizens at serious risk. Also included are tips straight from the Japanese originators of the drifting phenomenon. With contents like this, HASHIRIYA should be stamped with dozens of disclaimers-- "Don't try this at home....or anywhere for that matter!"

The nostalgia is kicking in....I still have this DVD among other Teckademics films in my man cave lol.
Love watching these types of videos showing the crazy mods Japan does… hoping to go there when the Vid calms down…
This will blow your mind. Check out this rental car place while in Japan. www.omoren.com/en/ We rented 6 cars for the day back in Jan 2020. 3 RX7s, 1 R34 GTR, 1 R35 GT-R, 1 Toyota Sprinter Trueno. My white on white RX7 was $280US for the day with insurance. I shot this: ruclips.net/video/A06P9fgBUXw/видео.html
I saw a single copy of this DVD back in 2003 at a Best Buy and immediately bought it. This brings back some great memories.
I fucking love this. U made this so well back in the day.
That early 2000’s vibe is so precious, also interesting to see how car culture has evolved since then - now USDM import style is a thing in Japan and drift missiles are a thing in the US
I have to ask since it wasn’t so clear in the credits, any link to the trance track playing in the first drift segment and credit roll? Would love to throw it in a set for a rave one day
I actually used the Shazam app and found the song! ruclips.net/video/ynxFGDpGVQU/видео.html
@@mischieftelevision Wow hahah thats brilliant, cheers!! Have to say the DJ Benko part of MISCHIEF 3000 is amazing as well, and the editing back then was something else
Thanks a ton for uploading all these car culture relics, i never got a hold of the DVDs back then (watched snippets via promo dvd’s from tuner magazine’s lol) so it’s amazing to watch it full feature length on a 55” with a click of a button
i still have this dvd kicking around somewhere
Well done man, thanks for posting
The good old days. I still have this exact dvd
34:03 beautiful Initial D job on this Toyota:) thank you so much for releasing all this old Mischief content for free!
This is great! Love the nostalgia. Thank you for posting so we can all reminisce.
The simplifier times playing need for speed and watching mitscheif DVD that we rented from the local movie store
I really have to thank you you're the one that really got me into cars with this video back in the day
Awesome! Somehow I missed the upload notification. And somehow, I don't think I;ve ever seen this one. Welp, guess i know what i'm doing my morning zoom meetings lol.
Oh my god. My childhood just got uploaded
Loving these new uploads 😇
This takes me back
i once saw a clip of you getting chased around by a cop in a snowy parking lot. Literally the slowest police chase i''ve ever seen, and you even said that in the video. I think it could go viral as a standalone clip named the slowest police chase in recorded history
Makes sense that it’s a great movie. Still have it.
My youth lives again
Man this is so cool.
Classic stuff right here. Add some time stamps also, those help a lot.
Drift nation Let's Go 😁👍
This shit is so dope. Mischief and JDM Insider were the best!
God dam this brings me back 😁
for real.
I don't remember this one when did it come out
2004
When will the yellow hoodie become available on the store again, i want to buy it!
Anyone know what Suiken song that is in the intro?
Ah nvm I found it, song is Punch by Suiken ok
Always enjoy watching these classics. I remember the hostility of the American vs Japan of the car community. Tuners vs Muscle. People sure were divided back then.
Nothing's changed, man.
It's even worse now. Now everybody is a "car guy" because they have access to internet lol.
And then there's the people who commit automotive heresy and put small-block Chevy engines into Mazda RX7s...
Mischief
How many more volumes to come?
Love Japan!!!
This is epic
X The🐐.
This is a killer video
Fumiaki Komatsu
