I see that 1420’s videos are reposted on Reddit, and those reposts contain cut versions with only negative responses from interviewees. Nobody reposts positive responses because apparently nobody is interested in it! Negative videos usually “sell better” just like the news; while this video has less aggressive people than in the previous videos, my gut feeling tells me, this video will reach less people! Hence, less people will see that there are some sane people. People only need to see babushkas who’re willing to ****** everyone, including babies.
This comment is a reminder to not use “Russians” with any following adjective in a sentence. For example, “Russians are bad”, “Russians are cool” and so on. Just like with any other nationality, it’s too many people to put them in one box.
"But Ukrainian children are dying and women are being raped, how can you say that Russians are not bad??!!” - for those of you who’re willing to write this, I’d recommend to calm down, turn off the computer and go to park for a walk ❤

Well in a way yes and no. Resistance groups could always spring up and honestly start conducting secret missions around and or inside the Kremlin. So in some aspects yes I feel bad but at the same time. None of them are wanting to potentially sacrifice their "Freedom" that they have left nor their life to better their future generations. :) I mean if the US didn't stand up to Britain back in the 1700s, America would be a lot different today. So to each their own but I feel the Russian populace could be doing a lot more to help end this faster and sooner.

It is not difficult to get acquainted with Finns, they are just like everyone else. Furthermore, they do not make better friends than Swedes, Germans or French, or any number of other nationalities. It is all ridiculous. There are troubling conditions in Finland as in every country but the Finns agree to deny them and hide them. (From an american) This is amazing work. I commend you all.
This kind of journalism is ABSOLUTELY needed. I've never donated or paid for a comment before (whatever you call this) but I feel a NEED to support you and your channel in some way. I feel it is crucial to 1. Explain to the west the thoughts of the general Russian population 2. Allow us to see the good...the bad...and the ugly of the discourse that happens within....and 3. and most likely most importantly allows us to relate to these human beings. No matter if it's because they make me laugh or if it makes me want to cry.
In the end that's the common denominator. We are all human beings and we must find common ground.
This current world situation is tense and scary but this channel has allowed insight for me and at times a sense of relief as well as a sense a despair. But I've come to realize it's just the nature of the world we live in right now.
As JFK said.."We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal."
Please continue your work and I wish you and yours the best of health.

    • @andersandersson3689
      @andersandersson3689 Год назад +14

@@tusk4339 The existence of borders is not the problem. Our idea of their purpose is. If we allow everybody to communicate, conduct trade and travel across borders, fine, I see little problem with that. But as borders are also used to limit the territory under the control of a single government, and to confine separate jurisdictions, removing said borders would lead to a world population under the same government and the same laws, with nowhere to escape should that government deteriorate into a tyranny. When your government makes bad decisions, and you criticise them for that, they may ask you to give a single example of a government that is doing better, and you can't find one, because there is no other government to compare to.
The worst place in the world is simultaneously the best one. The right to seek asylum in a different country is no more. Why? Because it's no longer needed due to the government being perfect, or because the concept of "different country" has evaporated?
"To form a more perfect union": which are the two most important words in that phrase? I'd say its "a" (indefinite form, one of many possible) and "more" (a comparison with something else). Pluralism. The very force that makes business work (competition), democracy (elections), even refridgerators work due to the contrast between hot and cold.
To be human is to be different. Celebrate difference, not uniformity.

I'm from Sweden, and let me tell you: Sweden WOULD NEVER have joined NATO if it wasn't for the invasion of Ukraine and Putins aggression towards the West.
The public opinion in Sweden took a 180 degree turn when Putin decided to invade Ukraine and started to show aggression towards Sweden by invading the air space over Gotland with fighter jets. Sweden has been at peace for over 200 years and even managed to not get involved during the 2nd world war. Our joining of NATO is just an assurance of safety, and nothing else!
I fucking hate war, and don't consider people of any country to be my enemy. And us joining NATO is unfortunate because spending a lot of money to expand the military is just a waste of money, that could have been used for education and health care, IMO.

Joining the NATO makes Sweden true enemy to Russia. Don't make wrong decision and keep your neutrality.

Joining NATO usually meant a sharp drop in military spending, because countries specialize and rely on collective defense. A lot of NATO countries in Europe have underfunded militaries - because nobody expected a major conventional war. Sweden - as a neutral country - has a sizable military that won't have to be expanded very much, nor does it need any rearmament for NATO standards as its' massive arms industry helps set NATO standards. In fact, Swedish arms industry might rise to new heights in the coming years because of new contracts for fighter jets, IFVs, ATGMs, MANPADS and warships.

Hello from Finland. In these uncertain and chaotic times it's easy to dehumanize one another and think people from anoher nation are beyond humanity. Videos like these are a healthy reminder that even though there is war in Ukraine, we are also increasingly living in a world where we don't see each other as enemies but rather as people who all believe in peace, shared prosperity and common humanity. I genuinely wish there would be no wars. Nobody wins in that, we all have a common shared interest in a better tomorrow for all of us.

I know I can't take them all in a fight but luckily I have a bomb in my own mansion that will take out the whole neighbourhood at the press of a button. Of course I won't press the button but I will threaten to do so to make everyone more afraid of me.
Oh and by the way, everyone told me that if I just leave and go back to my mansion, I wouldn't have to deal with all this trouble anymore.
Well, long story short I'm not leaving. Imagine how weak I would look to the whole neighbourhood if I just gave up! I must either get hold of the whole house or somehow come up with a way to leave and make it look like I won.
So far I haven't succeeded in either and the neighbour is getting newer and better defence equipment all the time so I think I will just make more threats to everyone until I figure something out.

When saying "Russians" and, as you say, pull out and negative adjective in front or after, it's also wrong. Would I do the same mistake as I did in my teenage years? No way. The US invades Iraq with a full scale war. Americans: 'it's a war against terror, they have weapons of mass destruction'.
Not that I condone the devastating war in Ukraine, but I'm not sure we're that much better.

The Special Operation is a response to military aggression by NATO. Russia has been subjected to military aggression by various countries on the orders of NATO for decades. If Sweden or Finland had been attacked for 10-20 years, you would have a different opinion.

Attacking Finland and Sweden would be a horrible, logistical nightmare. Russia can't even handle their troops on flat mud surfaces in Ukraine. So no, Russia would lose fast. Also Sweden and Finland has one of the most advanced STA defensive systems in the world, and is also under US/British protection. Russia is a total Paper Tiger.
