I only run the trooper now. It's super light, low penalties and it has the effect that people think I'm a juicer, then get upset when they get my budget modded AK74UN and tier 4 armor. It's the small things.
Large, light weight and low penalties, available for cash from the trader, good colour. It's also physically a good size, attack2 has a bigger model, the raid/couch bag and blackjack are huge. What's not to love about the trooper.
@@xXxNECROMONGERxXx The pilgrim is bright purple, which has the same capacity and model size and is decently available from scavs or a craft if you are desperate. The trooper colour is pretty good in comparison.
tbh I love the gunslinger for the sole reason that if I die its 90% guaranteed to come back in insurance. I've had the gunslinger I have equipped rn for at least 10 deaths it always comes back in insurance this late into wipe.
The one small upside for the dogtag barter for the couch bag is you can use your teammates tags, and since the are only worth 1 rubble anyways, you can potentially get a raid bag for next to nothing now lmao
As someone who has 900 hours in tarkov. iirc, Ive never EVER bought a large bag. I occasionally buy tri-zips but mainly it will be any bag I find from a player's dead body in raid. Buying large bags is kinda obsolete when u can just get them from raids
My take on backpacks is this: Daypack/Berkut/Scav's are the biggest ones you will need 99% of the time. Want to go on a lengthy loot run? in general you dont want to really pickup anything thats less than 10k per slot unless its an quest item. It would take a lenghty, undisturbed by PVP, reserve run to start running into issue of storage, especially if you have a spacious rig. Want to go for PVP? Sure, if you kill a guy that has so much good stuff, it's more than you can take... he most likely has a big ass backapck and even if he doesnt, you can still fit a rig and 90% of his gun value by taking off the attachments. And lets be honest very few people will run on regular basis into like 3 gigachads with good loot on them and still live.
Personally I would say that a T20 is the best all around bag with enough space for looting the map or enough space to fit 1 rig, 1 armor and even 1 meta gun
Yes and no, im lvl 59 and have had kappa for almost the last 2 months? For me personally im not looking to loot the map at that point, which then brings me to run things like flir mk-18, slicks/zabralos etc but no bag unless im explicitly expecting to find juicer players (not to say this is always the case, but if I say play some woods raids with friends and theres seemingly only timmies on I will sometimes just neglect to bring them) its nice not having that extra weight and ergo pen + your character model is less noticeable if ur w keyin around looking for people
Since the buff raid bag became my main backpack for woods relaxing looting I was nonstop crafting them for like 150k each, so a single good raid and i make enough for another 4-6 bags even before the buff i was crafting them nonstop so i can stack them and get more hideout storage space, now its almost the end of the wipe and i have almost 200 of them
I love these. Maybe I should say, I love people wearing these. So easy to spot, I've gotten a lot of kills where the only thing I could see in a bush was this big ass orange peanut. I'd rather wear a T30 or similar, with its higher weight and lower size.
Interesting that the attack 2 is 60 litres storage and the trooper 35, is well 35, maybe the size of the attack 2 can be vhabged to represent the additional 25L🤔
Question: The backpack effects are expressed as percentages. How do the turn and movement percentages work? Percentages of what? Do these percentages affect more or less based on your character weight?
early this wipe i must have run a takedown in 50 raids and died with it a third of those times. the only time i did not get it back was when one of my squad mates took it off my corpse
Making the weights of all bags match their real-world counterparts does make sense, but man, if they're gonna do this while having such a punishing overweight system in the game (which does not at all correspond to the real-world analog but that's a separate point), they gotta give these heavier bags less ergo/move speed debuffs. Or not, I guess. There's no real reason every category of gear has to have multiple competitive options, stats-wise. I don't see a problem with having one bag be strictly superior, but BSG are the ones who said they hate metas, so stuff like this confuses me. Maybe they're counting on the big brown cat turd being as anti-camo and aesthetically unappealing as the barney bag. Personally, my top choices are the black T30 and the burnt hot dog, because stats and cost are secondary considerations after drip.
They need to rework the weight of some of the bags, even the stats, there is like only one good bag in the game now, even though theres like 20+ bags, it's not a good thing for a game to not have have any valid options.
I feel like this game could use bi monthly balance updates. Maybe I’m asking for too much but there’s no reason balance issues like this should be a thing for an entire wipe, only to be fixed at the beginning of the next one, where the will be new balance issues anyway
I still prefer daypack than the trooper35. Daypack is light, cheap, low profile and reasonably large. If I kill someone with larger backpack, I will gladly take theirs. If I get killed, it rarely get taken. Such a amazing bag for casual player!
@@zachrowe6271 agreed. once i unlock it, trizip is the minimum i will wear. the trizip is 45k while the berkut is around 25k but the trizip has 10 more slots, which means if every item you pickup is worth 10k you make 300k vs only 200k, so its 20k more for 80k more profit
Any time I take in a bag larger than the Tri-zip, I get too greedy trying to fill it and get myself smoked. I'll gladly sacrifice the 5 slots for being a little less likely to need a Mule just to make it out. This is also making me remember all the times I went for greed after getting a raid wipe, only to run out of time, dehydrate or bleed out trying to get to Road to Customs lol To be fair, that's really only three times but still
I honestly hate what they did to T30 backpack, it was okay, same as tri zip but with better color and slightly more expensive and not locked buy a quest(solid pay for drip, was really good with something like korund in overall black loadout). But now, for some reason, they made it loot only and changed it with bright multicam one, and weight changes made this backpack even worse! Its usually sits on fley with low quantities and laughable price from just 100k to around 300k
I will use this knowledge to buy all the terrible bags so I can guarantee I will always have a bag from insurance because I can safely assume I won't be making it out the raid anyway.
This is one of those things that proves that BSG doesn’t think when they introduce new items or balance. Same size as attack 2, lighter, smaller profile, better color, and it’s super cheap, especially compared to the attack 2. Let’s introduce a bag that’s competes with the attack 2. And let’s make it better in every way to the point that the attack 2 is useless. I love the game. But I don’t think they consider how things interact with each other in this game. It seems like everything is considered within a closed system and no thought around balance or incentivizing people to use different things
No, no, no. Stat-wise it may be, but look at your character with it! You're almost yelling "come get me!". It's like UNTAR of backpacks. Change my mind. (Sure, there are bigger backpacks out there thus more standing out, but the shape and color of Trooper is very easy to spot for some reason, at least for me)
There’s going to be a day where you have explained every bit of Tarkov in its entirety

The trooper 35 used to be 71,000. I'm not sure why they dropped the price
They don't know how to balance anything.
Its so funny they remove the attack 2 which was 70k, then add the trooper which is just better in every single way, then they drop the price
