- In this first episode of a new series, we check out the glitches in Sonic the Hedgehog CD, both the original and the remastered versions. A pretty solid game glitch wise!

This is not a replacement of Son of a Glitch, more of an expansion. Some games have so few glitches, they'd never get a full episode, so this is my solution. Enjoy!

This reminds me a bit of the 12 Days of Glitchmas videos -- shorter videos that are just as entertaining, but with less of a time commitment.
Honestly sometimes I lose full interest in the longer videos and wind up half-paying attention, or using it as background noise. This format doesn't overstay its welcome and allows me to watch it with full focus and not get bored.
That being said, I still like the full-length videos and am glad this isn't a complete change of style but a separate series. Really enjoyed this!

You may have missed one glitch here. In the future version of Palmtree Panic Zone 1, place a future sign, then place the left and right red spring. Make sure they face each other. Now you can just perform a Super Peel-Out in between those red springs to be fast enough to enter the future cutscene transition. After the transition, it will spawn Sonic in the present version, also way up high.
I like the Michael Jackson reference, mostly because his red shoes were inspired by MJ.

Great new series and even greater game to start with! My favorite part of this game is Metal Sonic, he's just so cool
I actually thought this was going to be a series that only demonstrates in detail only one glitch in a game, but never mind then.
I like this idea as a series; it's doesn't require that much time to create, & it's still entertaining. I guess making a full-on Son of a Glitch episodes can be quite the job for you. Thanks for your hard work, you're doing great! :)

I love the Blue Amy glitch and the Green Amy with purple mouth glitch in this video.

2:19 this glitch was ahead of it's time, they literally added this as a mechanic on Sonic Generations in one of the missions, she doesn't exactly pick and throw you up but that's still pretty cool

i just gotta appreciate how they put a really neat 3d ramp at the very beginning of the game and then NEVER used it again.

I like the new series, it will be a good way to hold us over for the spectacular full length Son of a Glitch episodes.
There is another glitch. On metallic madness, on the spike wall segment when you shift into the background and onto the foreground and instantly get hit by the spiked wall just right, he will cycle through some of his animations instead.

I've discovered another glitch in the SONIC CD Remake. At the end of Wacky Workbench Zone 3 after the boss, when u reach the capsule, go beyond the capsule to fall down an invisible pit and then lose a life

Hey Andy, would you think about doing a Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy glitch video? It has loads of glitches that are really fun and easy to perform thanks to the extensive speedrun community. If you'd like I could run you through quite a few of them, as I'm good friends with the runners
You could even turn it into 3 videos, as all 3 of the jak games have loads of easy glitches

I found a new glitch in the remastered version bring Amy to the max point near the stage set there for a while stay right in front of here but don't touch then when when you die he will faze though her and for some reason sonics animation will be biger and sonic is still alive but you can't pause or move add to glitches

Smooth Sonic
I think you missed a few minor glitches in the game. For example, if you beat the first boss and then get in the tube before the camera transitions fully and hit the pod on your way past then the camera shows you what's really beyond that area! It's also possible in a few places to do level wraps like in earlier sonic games. However, unlike the previous games there's no floor or loopback area so you just go beyond the finish point and die. There's a couple of places you can get above the level such as MM2 and TT1, and in the original version you can jump over the 2nd boss and beat the level in 3 seconds! Tails has a few shenanigans in the remaster. All of these are pretty minor but probably worth mentioning. Anyway, liked the ep, keep it up!
Nice idea, doing a separate series for those games with very few glitches. It's a nice change of pace.

I know this was 7 years ago, but I just wanted to say this:
In the Sega CD version, if you charge a peelout, pause, hold downright, unpause, then pause again and then hold upright, then unpause, you can do a weird "moving peelout" glitch where you can clip through walls. I know it was discovered only recently, but I still thought it was worth mentioning.
Edit: At 3:09 the glitch is performed in a different way by having the Peelout cancelled by falling.

Once I was playing the 2011 remaster on mobile and I was in Palmtree Panic act 2 and I had ran past a past sign and I was running to time travel. But, when I managed to time travel it was on a loop and when I was in the past, I was stuck in the loop and I had to restart. WOW.

If you go to the capsule in palmtree panic and go the the end of the stage ,then break the capsule by go left sonic will be stuck in the tunnel (found it in the phone version )
I remember a few years ago when I visited a friend of mine abroad. I took my Gamecube copy of Sonic Gems Collection with me and let him play Sonic CD. SOMEHOW, I don't know how, but on the third zone of Collision Chaos, the area before the boss with the 10-Ring box, spring and ceiling full of spikes, he managed to go past the spikes and lodge himself firmly into the wall. I was in both hysterics and bafflement at how he was able to break the game THAT badly.
The timer reset glitch is by far the most useful

That jump with amy is how they came up with the tag team idea for sonic advance 3
the star post "glitch" is in all sonic classic games as far as I'm aware. It's to ensure you can reach the end of a level without being stuck without enough time to actually get to the end.
Yeah, it's not a glitch, the timer always resets in all classic Sonic games when you get a Time Over (I should know, i've gotten a lot of time overs in Carnival night, and contrary to popular belief, it's not entirely due to the Barrel of Doom, and i've only gotten them in act 2)
