Yes, I finally was able to see one explode being at a good time here on the West Coast USA. The oreos stopped coming out at like hour and half.
this was the first titan I saw explode. in fact last night was the first time I ever saw a titan at all. I kinda fell off Elite around two years ago. I came back at the start of the invasion for a month or so but fell off again once the orthrus started showing up and I couldn't use my existing AX ship against them. the notion of doing the engineering grind AGAIN for a new ship put me off. at that point I was sick of spending more time grinding than playing. the final nail was when they introduced the caustic sink but in order to get it you had to farm titans... which melts your ship if you don't have a sink, A+ game design. I didn't even bother, I just decided to play something else
I came back a month ago, but it wasn't the prebuilt ships that convinced me to give elite another try, it was the SCO drive. one of Elites main problems is how long it takes to do... basically anything. so the devs finally adding something to the game that wasn't just another grind got me interested. and half my game time not being spent staring at a yellow circle in super cruise has certainly allowed me to enjoy the game more.
I haven't really done any AX combat since I got back, aside from a few groups of scouts that intercepted me on the way to Hadad yesterday, but I don't really know where to start. things like titan bombing and spire sites weren't in the game when I left. and then in outfitting there are now three different xeno scanners, two pulse neutralizers, and every single AX weapon has at least two, and sometimes three different variants. I just don't know what anything is anymore. when I was getting into AX combat all you had to do was slap 4 gauss cannons on a chieftain
do you have a recent guide that explains all the AX gear currently in the game? or do you know of someone else who does?
This was my first titan because I had to return from colonia in my fleet carrier. I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to engineering
This was the first Titan that I didn't watch explode. It was just too early in the morning for me. Still, I'm really only in it for the decals. I want that 8 Titan Kills decal, and I'm half way there! 😁
It was a late/early one
Gave up on getting there in DBX after the 4th interdiction. Will likely continue occasional visits (station and space battles) to nearest occupied systems.

I made the mistake of going to watch the explosion in open. Never again will I play in open. Some P.O.S. Ganker blew up my ship a couple of minutes before the explosion so I had no chance to see it. I had been there waiting for 40 minutes and some scumbag decided to get his jollies by ruining someone else's day. Never, ever again.
I have more than 3000 hours of ED and never played in open, no reason for that only to get frustated.
@@daltonzart6581 I normally don't play in open but I thought that for the occasion people would act in a civilized manner but of course that just doesn't happen in this day and age.
05:27 I don't doubt that you've seen new players around but the average in steamcharts keeps going down for 2 months in a row.
Hadad was the first titan I can say I honestly worked on instead of jumping in, earning those 3-4 millions and jumping out never to return. I did my part in destroying 6 of 8 hearts.
Same here, I stayed around to shoot some hearts and hit the core. I actually enjoyed seeing all the commanders blasting away at the Titan.

The most annoying thing after spending 10 or 15 minutes looking up content about how dead this game is and how empty its future is looking is when I started getting content recommended from the few people still playing this game.
