The little girl who was rescued and thanked him as soon as she was on the board was so sweet. In a situation like that most kids would just be scared and panicking not thinking to say thank you.
"How could you possibly lose your kid on a beach?!" "He pushed my hand away and just ran off." Yeah, that does sound like some shit I would pulled at that age, actually...
Yeah, I've always been horrible about running off, thankfully I didn't do it at beaches but my mom would lose me in stores all the time. Even as an adult I'm horrible about running off and leaving the group.
I did this too except I loved to climb things and would be out of reach, making my dad have to climb to get me cause I refused to come down. I actually got put on a leash for this reason. Imagine your 2-3 year old doing this to you. I was also really slippery and good at dodging anyone trying to grab me, which was what solidified the leash idea
It was really great seeing some of the lifeguards spending quality time with their children. All parents out there please try to spend as much quality time as you can with your kids as you don't know what the future holds. I didn't and really regret it now.

4:12 When it comes to the human body it can be scary not knowing what’s going on inside of it. Of course it can also make you worry more when you know about the potential things that could be wrong.
As a student nurse, I can have vouch for the second part of that statement. Anytime I run into a really bad situation when I am out and about (example: car crash), I yell at people to not move anyone unless they have a higher death risk if not moved. Examples can include car about to go boom, oncoming traffic, laying face down in the water or something where they could drown, fire nearby, gasoline leaking, artery severed, and anything similar.

Well my thumb hurts
I can only imagine the scary moments your child is injured. Happy Father's Day to all these wonderful lifeguard dads. Cheers mates!
Oh my gosh! Singlets’ heart must have leapt to his throat!!! It was so sweet how harries supported both of them the whole way.
Can we please just take a minute to appreciate Terry and all the people he saved. RIP Terry 🕊️
That moment with Terry, I've seen it multiple times and every single time, I tear up. What a wonderful man, they're all wonderful people ❤️
Singlets: I never imagined an ambulance coming for my son...
Me: I wonder how many times he had an ambulance called for him.
every time i see terry saving that girl, i sob. he’s such a wonderful man and wonderful life guard and no one should have to go through the pain of losing a child. i’m so thankful he got to that beautiful little girl in time
Guard: “You don’t want to freak them out too early…They’ll expect ‘yeah it’s fine! It’s fine!”
Dad: *delighted* “HIS FIRST SURFBOARD!!!!”
The little girl who was rescued and thanked him as soon as she was on the board was so sweet. In a situation like that most kids would just be scared and panicking not thinking to say thank you.
10:07 that little girls being raised right first thing she says is thank you ❤️❤️
"How could you possibly lose your kid on a beach?!"
"He pushed my hand away and just ran off."
Yeah, that does sound like some shit I would pulled at that age, actually...
@@kayley4767My mom had to have me on a leash when i was like 5 because I have ADHD and would run off and get lost in crowds.
3:16 jules being the comforting one as always kind of like the mom of the service
12:17 that’s the cutest thing Ive seen in a while I actually smiled seeing how happy that baby was in the water
It was really great seeing some of the lifeguards spending quality time with their children. All parents out there please try to spend as much quality time as you can with your kids as you don't know what the future holds. I didn't and really regret it now.
"Mommy will get cross" hearing the toddler say it was too incredibly cute!!
Deano’s daughters hair is so adorable omg!!!
I feel so bad for terry. He had no right to lose a child of his own. He did such a great job rescuing children, he deserves a lot of respect for a guy like him❤
That sweet momma of the missing little boy was so sincere. Glad he was safe. Sure she was terrified.
Lol it's been 9 years and to this day she was so scared of that moment 😅😂
This show has taught me so much. This week me and my 2 cousins were in a rip current and I saved them and me. Everyone is safe.
I’m not a dad but what I can say as both an Uncle and, Older brother is that caring for someone else whether you know them or not or even if their not your family the thought of bad things happening to to them. Scares you so much. Thanks to all those dads uncles and older brothers.
Bless Terry's heart. ❤ Breaks my heart to hear about his son. He did so great getting that little girl. Kudos to Terry.
No ones talking about Matt, he was so funny with that lil kid lol
"Noah hit his head on some guys knee and he can't breathe"
Dad: ".. Oh really?" - in commentary, "I WAS ABSOLUTELY RACKED WITH FEAR!"
7:38 kid's face is like "I found a dad. it's not my dad, but that's okay."
I don't why I was so happy in that cilp 😅😅
Hope Singletts son is OK now.Loved the girl saying thanks to the lifegaurd. She has been raised the right way, with manners.I also like how Singletts isn't afraid to show his emotions, to many men believe it is wrong to cry or a sign of weakness.
11:07 Rip terry loved how he spoke about his own child’s death
2:31 don’t beat yourself up, just being a dad and doing his best mine does the same and it always feels amazing shows you really care
that little girl when she said thank you! That right there will choke up a grown man, hearing him say he lost his son just sent me after that. Lost my dad 11 years ago, hardest thing ive ever gone through, cant even imagine losing my child, id be done, completely utterly broken. Cheers Bondi! Well done!
All of these Life Guards are amazing. I catch myself in tears at almost all their rescues. They seem so fearless rushing head-long into situations that would balk most others. I wish I could give them all awards for their bravery and commitment to the safety of others. 🧡
Nope, I‘m not crying. You‘re crying 🥺 Love how these guys show their fear and sorrow when kids are involved - thx for the amazing job you do out there every day
I just wanna say... Thank you so much for your guys hard work. Heros do not only wear capes but they also wear the word "life guard" on their chest. you guys are true heros and I'm here for it all. I'm a new subscriber and I just wanna say, the effort and how many life's you guys saved. It's truly breathtaking and amazing. even though it's scary, you guys have the biggest heart ever. and I just wanted to give you credit and tell you guys that you're the best. All lifeguards, I appreciate you and all ur hard work. Hearts from Florida ❤❤❤❤
I lost my daughter at 4 months old to sids , needless to say I know what he’s talking about, Terry, i understand what you feel, and why it brings those feelings. You did good mate.
Watching this back after terry has passed makes his rescue even more special, he was an amazing guy rip ❤
WHAT?
@@justinaaortizzHe had cancer in 2020. Died 2022
Every time I hear Terry's story, it brings me to tears. May this great man rest in peace
Lifeguards are legit ANGELS I fell with glass when I was little and has MAJOR GASHES everywhere. I loved the lifeguards who made me feel so comfortable when I was extremely shy. Thank you so much for all you guys do! You guys are angels!
The respect for terry bless him, I can’t even imagine losing a child, it must be so hard. That pain will never leave, it was bad enough losing my father, but for it to be your own child, that’s heart breaking ❤️
11:27 I love how to brothers not afraid to talk to his sister and he’s telling her a lesson in the nicest way possible. Wish my bro was like that.
3:36 LMAO , THAT DUDE'S SON IS SUCH A MOOD , 😭✋✋✋ -
EVEN WHEN HIS BACK COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE BEEN BROKEN
Can I just go over there and give Terry a big hug? He's such a nice guy and I truly feel for him! 💛
I love Glicky! He’s so genuine and true and he has a pure heart! I also love the rest of the team and how they work as a team and support each other. They truly are amazing human beings!
That little girl is so sweet. Poor thing can barely breath and yet the first thing she does is say thank you.
Love seeing the guys now with children of their own. They will make such cool dads. If I ever get a chance to go to Australia I’m stopping by Bondi just to say hello in person, and thank them for all they do.
When I read the title I immediately smiled and clicked on the video, because when I was a child I got lost at the beach and the lifeguard was just playing with me in the sand while they looked for my parents 😭❤️
Terry was an amazing gentleman, brave, caring and a phenomenal waterman, he will be greatly missed.
Nobody:
Me: at the beach bringing my little boogie board pretending to be a lifeguard
Also me: making my brother fake drown so i can save him, but him almost drowning because i cant get there fast enough
Me again: Talking in an Australian accent when i am not even Australian
😂😂😂
Same it’s too relatable
I feel so bad for terry he is a very very strong person
Yes..i miss him on the team
@@kimmarievan-ever6599 What happened?
@@kqelynnx5729 I just think he retired from it..he has his own paddleboard training company..but he was a kind genuine guy..too many young ones now..except for Hoppo of course..no Matt Dee who i think is great..

Lifeguards in Dad Mode will never fail to make my day better! ❤️
I knew Terry's rescue of the girl from a few years back would be here, always gets me in the gut
Narrater: As life guards look for-
Matt: YeAH BuDdY
GUYS 10:51 I SAW THE SOUND MAN! I FEEL LIKE I WITNESSED SOMETHING ILLEGAL
8:12 him having the best time of his life while his parents are probably worried af 😭
I was having a blast 😂😂
Terry, remembering your child through what you do, you're what we all aspire to be. Love from JAPAN
8:35 "As lifeguards look fo-Yeah buddy."
Lol ikr it skipped
12:45 I’m sorry the way he lifted her up onto the board 🤣
As someone who has broken my spine twice, the paramedics and first responders deserve all the respect
10:07 that “thank you” always hits me hard
10:07 I love when the little girl said thank you that was so sweet!!
Terry is the sweetes person ever i feel so bad for him no one ever ever deserves to lose their child ❤😢
RIP Terry may he be with son again passed away with cancer
I adore Deano. I loved the engagement episode and I haven't gotten to see him as a dad yet. 10/10 guy
I felt so bad for Singlets, it must be terrible seeing your own child in pain. Singlets is one of my favourite lifeguards at Bondi beach 😍
Deanos little girl seriously looks like a blonde version of him, the hair is adorable, they all are
Lifeguards you are amazing. You care about everyone, thanks to all the lifeguards and the Bondi ones!
11:40 NEVER FOLLOW ME IM A LOT STRONGER A-AH that is when you know you have a good brother that cares :)
