on the surge issue you were arguing about it was possible when the horde did a full 90 degree pivot. as was rightly pointed out surge pushes the unit forward, it is only counted as a charge if you hit an enemy unit. as it was it would have hit the friendly units back edge first and thus wouldnt have counted as a charge or aligned as such. not a problem as you had more pivot to take but make sure you position correctly as surging is done in the next phase and likely your opponent wouldnt let you take it back.
Pretty sure the werewolf character could have charged the flank of the ravens. if you go back to about 35:16, before the werewolf units were taken off, and imagine the ravens going forward 1 inch, that isn't going to clear the werewolf character who is slightly pointed towards them front arc. He can then on his turn, pivot 90, make contact and pick up and place in their flank.
Doesn't end up mattering i guess cause you shoot them off that next turn. But it's good to practice clean play if you're preparing for a tournament like it looks like you guys are doing. Careful of your undo moves changing the initial position of units. Cheers and thanks for the Battle Report!
