      It captivates us all from the very beginning. Sometimes we all take flying for granted, but it was just 120 years ago that we as a civilization first took to the skies. Our not so distant ancestors would not believe how fast and effortlessly we can travel. And yet there are still people I know personally that have never even left the area around their home town. Don't take it for granted people!

      Well I certainly got my fair share of short Southwest flights on this particular day haha. It's no easy feat to take 8 flights in a single day without changing time zones. Thanks for watching my friend!

    Just so you know. I'm still watching your videos all the time. Really appreciate what you do. I really dislike what these airlines do when they order an aircraft with a window seat but "voila" no window, as in 3:14 on the time. I had one of those in an Air Canada flight and asked to move. An aisle would be better than that.

    • @fieryintercessor9122
      @fieryintercessor9122 10 месяцев назад +2

      Agree 100%. I personally think that window seats should be reserved for dedicated aviation enthusiasts who actually want to look out the window. Those who are just going to shut the shade should not be allowed to sit in the window seats. Or even better, be like Michael O’Leary of Ryanair and talk about ordering the aircraft without window shades. Or fly 787s which allow you to look out the window even if the electronic window is dimmed

    • @sla31
      @sla31  10 месяцев назад

      I'm glad you are still enjoying the videos my friend! As for the windows. Sadly in cases like here, there's nothing Southwest or any other airline can do about it. The 737 is missing a window there on every frame ever built as that is where all of the wiring harnesses go through the fuselage. So it doesn't matter how much we may want a window there, there will never be a window there on 737's. And Southwest isn't not going to sell a seat there, just because there isn't a window. The best thing we can do is just know which seats to avoid haha.

    Wow... good views taking off. I've never been to Corpus Christi at all. That area is Terra Incognito for me.
    Anyhow, we're still 5 and a half inches under budget in terms of rainfall here.
    And now, that I've watched your super-amazing video, it's time for me to go watch Episode 4 of the Chucky series. It's mind-boggling how he's lasted 35 years now, just keeps on killing people and no one is able to stop him. How about Chucky vs Freddie or Chucky vs. Jason.

      @NovejSpeed3 10 месяцев назад +1

      No -900s just -700s -800s and Max 8s...Max 7s on order. The -900 and Max 9s don't really work for their turnaround model (Too long to board and disembark) and could be payload limited in and out of airports like Midway and Burbank depending on seat config.

    • @petercole8798
      @petercole8798 10 месяцев назад

      @@NovejSpeed3 they still will make a 737. 700 type outdated right.

    • @achmedbincouscous2846
      @achmedbincouscous2846 10 месяцев назад

      @@petercole8798 The last NG was delivered in Jan 2020. So no -700/800/900's being built. Until the MAX7 is certified, he 700's are currently being retired in favor of MAX8's at the rate of 3 to 10 a month, depending on the month. The MAX7 orders are over 300 at SWA. Hopefully SWA never orders MAX9's or MAX10s. The "700 type outdated" isn't really true, any more than an older generation A320 is "outdated" because the NEO or XLR exists. From a pilot perspective, I'd much, much rather fly a -700 then a pig of a MAX9. No comparison in performance and handling.

      This was part of the day where I attempted to fly 8 individual flights in a single day, without changing time zones. Of course, I was attempting it on Southwest, and in the process of flying all 8 flights, I flew on Southwest flight 1, and hit the original SAT-DAL-HOU triangle. So the signs were part of that whole deal. I was successful and took all 8 flights in one day!

On this particular day I was attempting to fly 8 segments in a single day without changing time zones. And I did achieve it! Thanks for watching my friend.

    Great fly! Have you heard that Hurricane Otis slammed Mexico at 165 MPH winds at Category 5 major hurricane at the time of landfall which breaks the record for intense landfall? Hurricane Otis went from tropical storm to Category 5 hurricane in 24 hours which caught surprise due to forecaster error.
