When playing through Golden Deer, right before you fight Edelgard, she goes on this rant about how the gods are dead and there’s no use worshipping them. As soon as I started that fight, Byleth just said “Here’s is something to believe in” and it was over.

It's great because of Joe Brogie's amazing delivery, it does not suggest death that much, it's respectful (just like Mercedes' "excuse me") and it's Sylvain, everything he says has a double fucking meaning.

Imagine Lysithea telling you you're irrelevant. I feel like she doesn't even need to attack after that. That does enough damage on its own.
Still, dealing 150+ damage afterwards will never lack satisfaction.
I once had Lysithea tell The Black Beast(Miklan second phase) that he was Irrelevant. It was the killing blow on the third health bar, she first activated her crest that boosts magic damage and then she got an 11% critical hit, and told him he was Irrelevant. The perfect ending imo, I knew Miklan was a bad guy, but she didn't have to fucking murder him like that. XD

@@TheChildofAuraReborn as a character yes, as a unit she’s hit or miss depending on your luck with strength level ups in my current play through she’s an integral part of the team because I got lucky thankfully
@@AJD45 Really? I’ve always had good luck because she’s a great Gambit user, and has a decent Res stat (I switch her to the Dancer class sometimes).

I don't know but you're irrelevant really sticks for me. It's like the biggest disrespect of someones pride their is. At least Frederick acknowledged his opponent. Lysithea basically wrecked her enemy physically and mentally.

You could have started and ended the video with "here is something to believe in" and no one would complain but including some extra quotes is a nice addition
At the end of my very very first playthrough of 3 Houses (I chose Blue Lions), I body-slammed Edelgard from her last full health bar to nothing, and hearing "HERE IS SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN!" gave me such goddamn chills.
A similar thing happened to me on my first playthrough but on silver snow. Finishing a battle with a crit will always be so exhilarating

I swear that every playthrough I have Linhardt gets the most crits despite having low crit rates most of the time. I truly don't understand it - it'll have an 8% chance and he'll hit it 80% of the time. In my first playthrough I didn't realize he was so good at Reason magic as well, so I just had him hanging back on his own as a healer to be protected. Then he'd get attacked and just brutally slaughter whoever hit him (with a weirdly high amount of crits for his stated crit rate).
I no longer feel the need to protect him haha.

Unironically, though: I think "Here's something to believe in" is the proof that Byleth shouldn't have been a silent protagonist, and in fact should have been the best character in the series to date.
Think about it. They come to a religious order they have had no contact with, and have a budding talent in the Faith skill. Throughout their time at the church, some people comment on how they're starting to show more emotion, even crying for the very first time. By the time they start saying that line, they've embraced their new role. Not just within the church (as you can side against it,) but as a leader. It's like Dorothea's request to work on her faith skill: "I don't have faith in the goddess, but I do have faith in you." Byleth has come to understand just how deeply they inspire and motivate those around them, and is fully embracing their role, looking to guide the people of Fodlan forward.
So the fact that they'd sabotage what should have been an incredible character arc by making them silent is honestly just insulting.
