Agree with Eric on the AITA. A lot of the rulings have some kernel of relevance but the list maker's presentation of them is extremely combative and off putting. Sounds to me like the DM is extremely D&D focused and wants to "play" HIS game while his group wants to hangout while using D&D as a vehicle to do so.
