When I stayed there it was still the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi. Will never understand why MO gave it up. It is a stunning luxury resort. The Colonial Suite Rooms, where I stayed, were stunning. The whole resort is so classy n warm hearted. Hope they keep up the excellent MO Service, even nowadays.
I'm Thai and it blew my mind when I stayed there.
It blow my mind ,when I first see this hotel , specially when it was year 2006 , royal flora in cheng mai . I stayed in this hotel and have dinner at the Thai restaurant here. Might be the only thai food that I can't never forget the flavor , how amazing it was !!! And that night I still remember. About 2 meters and half Prince Charles from England was sitting there having Thai dinner. You need 2-3 days minutes to tour around in this hotel. I felt like I slipped into fairytale ❤❤❤.
In urban city a village, first time seen several rice fields in a resort, can imagine how much acres of land required. It's a blend of modernity and rural village, craft etc, everything under one umbrella. Amazing.

de 14.21 à 15.27 : à couper le souffle aussi. Et la musique est tellement jolie pour accompagner ce images
Dîner, petit déjeuner, ça doit être délicieux.
Tout pour être heureux !....

Just spent 8 nights at this amazing place. The people are just great - besides the overall surroundings (stayed at Villa 99 with private pool). However, the hotel currently undergoes several management changes and renovations at the same time (e.g. the spa was closed/relocated when we were there mid March). Hope it will not go down the drain in particular due to flocks of tourists from the bigger brother of the north....

Wow ! I fell asleep just by viewing the beauty and tranquility of such a wonderful environment . Is this very expensive
The first thing I noticed were the wood floors. No machine can reproduce the look of hand sawed, hand sanded, hand finished, and hand polished wood floors like that.

What type of device(s) do you use to record your trips? I must say they are very nice, particularly the apparent lack of rolling shutter. Do you utilize software to make edits or are your vids straight off the device(s)? Thanks for a great way to show your adventures.

Do you remember the exact villa category you stayed in here? I’ll be staying there in June this year in a grand deluxe villa with pool and hot tub, but yours comes with piano which is amazing!!
Hi All the villas come with an upright piano I think. I stayed in villa 6 which was truly amazing The resort is magnificent and the service you get second to none. You will have the best time there. x

Unfortunately, this hotel needs new owner. It already filed for bankrupcy. Someone please step in.
Was the sheer number of mosquitos just horrible, or was it also cataclysmic and deeply demoralizing?
I did not encounter one mosquito (It was the dry season when I visited)

Interesting that you never comment negatively about any if your hotel reviews. I suspect you are being paid or at least subsidized for your reviews. You should be authentic about this.
Hi there, you are clearly not reading my hotel reviews on my blog (link below clip). I write them in a pros & cons format. I am honnest in my reviews and I have been very critical for many hotel ;). Safe travels!
He was quite openly disappointed in one of the Canadian hotels he visited. I never feel a sense of dishonesty. And he's showing us everything so we can make our own judgement anyway, you know?
Reviewing a resort surrounded by rice paddy without discussing measures to mitigate flying insects is like doing a review of hell and trying to pretend there are no flames.
