    just be prepared for therapy sessions after watching footage of yourself surfing.

    It’s funny Isaac has never even thought about the pop up and position on the board when he’s riding a long step up. I have to think about it all the time when I’m riding a longer board. All depends on the wave but for me down the line speed I’ll get up in the middle more but straight drop into a deep bottom turn I have to throw myself back to the tail. So fun though once you work it out

      Yeah it's definitely a bit of trial and error and something that you should try to be conscious

    What counts as a step up?

      generally longer boards with more rocker and a pin tail to handle curvier waves - what you see isaac riding in the thumbnail photo. think about what the pros ride at sunset for example. Although people will ride step ups just a few inches longer

      @@Gosurfbasis I’ve got a 6’9 twin fin with a round pin but I find it’s just so damn fast and draws wide lines. Do you think it’s worth finding a step up? Sorry for asking. It what typical model would apply? Ghost seems too small/short.
