I got extremely lucky last month. A kid traded in a 94 Fleetwood that is in extremely good condition. My work sold me it to me for $1,000. Such a great platform for me to start with.
As a white boy growing up in a Hispanic neighborhood in east Houston it was common to see lowriders. I think i was like 6 or 7 and i believe it was a primered cutlass with supremes on it at the corner store, it had loud as exhaust and man i was hooked ever since. My dad would rag on me cause him and his buddies would build race cars and had some really nice drag cars and i was feeling it but i just had love for lowlows. Dad didn't like it cause of the way gang bangers give it a bad rap man. But even still. The culture is awesome. Keep building brother great tips.

My first car was a 83 coupe deVille. I got it for 1200. I did a pro hopper 2 pump, 10 switch, setup. Ran it at 72 volts. 14 inch Showtime cylinders and a chainbridge. I was 18 in 1999. I've been wanting to build another lowrider for the last cpl years. That thing was fun as hell!
My first car was a 84 coupe DeVille that already had a 307 engine swap that I picked up for $2,500 the car was already in beautiful shape so we just did very minor body work and painted it back factory black, and went with some 13x7 road star knock offs because I liked the spoke pattern a little more than the Dayton at the time, and just went with mild stereo system. I didn’t keep it long enough to put switches, because I got a pretty good offer from someone who really wanted it so I excepted the offer. Today, I’m currently looking for another 81 to 84 coupe DeVille or fleetwood coupe.

My first car was a 1981 baby Lincoln 4 door. It was burgundy with a white vinyl top. The wheels I bought were 13x7 roadster wire wheels with the cap that had the actual lock with a little 🔑 key.
