I think reviews are important to a point. Meaning a business with zero reviews will not out rank a business with plenty. The other part of reviews is that Google pays a lot of attention to how people interact with your profile. So if you don't have a healthy amount people will not interact with the profile and the profile will eventually drop.
They aren't very important to actually rank. Not hard to out rank with a lot fewer reviews (see the Houston plumber example in the video). But yeah, once you're ranked they're very important to stay there and actually get calls
small number of reviews per week works I ask my clients 2-4 reviews per week using certain method. I manage over 350+ Business profiles in Mexico, reviews works but mostly to show google you cna be trustworthy not spam a lot 2-3 per week keeps the needdle moving
As a manager of over 800 google business profiles I can emphatically say your premise is bullshit. Anyone can cherry pick a random 3pack result for some unknown search, made from an unknown location. That 12 review business could be 0.01 miles from the searcher, and that's why it's #1. While the 2,000 review business that definitely has a higher CTR, is likely ranking for much wider radius. Quit giving bad advice. And even if reviews wasn't a powerful ranking factor, which it is, it's also is incredibly beneficial for converting more customers. Would you like to debate this topic live stream sometime. Because i have hundreds, and can pull thousands more business profiles to analyze.
Hey no problem if you disagree. Keep seeking out those reviews in an attempt to improve rank by doing nothing else but getting more reviews. I also have hundreds of GBP's under management, nearly all of which we work to rank without focusing on reviews until they get into the top 3. I also specifically say in the video you're commenting on that reviews are hugely important to improve CTR and call rate once they're in the top 3. Yeah reviews are important once you're ranked, but they don't do as much as a lot of people say to get you ranked.
