Hi all... so what makes this so special that MKBHD invested in it!? What do you think? I think this is a surprisingly versatile camera for more than just Zoom! 📣Watch my desk setup next here: ruclips.net/video/Qw09smlkg5c/видео.html & head to opalcamera.com/opal-c1? to check out the C1 webcam! ❤
No worries! I’d say I’d choose the opal for video quality, design and sound, and if I wanted to use it for streaming or a second camera for other creative use cases alongside video calls, I’d choose the Insta if I made a lot of presentations or did loads of video calls a day as I found the integration a tiny bit smoother with Zoom (better out connection) and the AI and tracking features are great for people working remotely and doing presentations - but it’s super close! :)
@bettercreating I think Opal c1 footage looks much better than camera footage. The colors look much better and your tee shirt's original color is coming in opal.
Hello, just wanted to know: Can I do the settings stuff on my private MacBook and the settings are stored in the camera itself, so that I can take advantage of the settings, when connecting my Business MacBook (on which I am not allowed to installed 3rd party software)?

Love this. Thanks for making this video. I'm going to have to look into this. :)
Thanks Simon, sick, just ordered ⚡️
Yeah - really enjoying it! Cheers :)
Thanks for the video! Now you’ve testet both the Opal C1 and Insta 360 Link. Which would you prefer for daily webcam?

@@BetterCreatingNew subscriber here! Am I right in thinking that the Insta 360 does the straight down in your desk shot where as the C1 doesn’t?

Yeah it looks great - although for clarity that’s a different brighter blue t-shirt!
@@BetterCreating i see, all other colors looks great and natural than in the video.
Hi Simon love your videos, just wanted to ask wasn't sure if you tried it yet but, can this be plugged into the TS3/4 rather than the MacBook?
Thanks! Yeah - worked fine through thunderbolt 4 dock from CalDigit.
thanks! looks like I will be purchasing soon@@BetterCreating

What I really miss from this material is showing the image in worse lightning. And maybe comparison to Iphone continuum camera.
Thanks for the suggestions: good ideas for the future :)
