Solid review. Curious, which device did you use to record this video?

Love this review! I was so close to get this until I tested the continuity feature with my iPhone. Have your tried that? Any difference in image quality? For me, the iPhone 14 Pro is way better than my M1 MBP. But now when they released the tadpole I had to find some unbiased reviews. Thanks for this!

Honestly the Continuity feature is probably equivalent (minus all the software things Opal gives you). You just have to sacrifice being on your phone during the call haha.

For anyone else with the same question, I finally started researching the opal because I love Continuity camera, but when I stream webinars for whatever reason Demio 9 out of 10 times won't let me select it as an option. And also if I'm borderline late to a video call, having to whip out my phone, get it on the tripod and synced up and everything can take time. it's also become annoying to work with a tripod setting for my phone when I sit vs stand at my desk.
It's finally been enough of a hassle that I'm jumping into the opal, so we'll see

No problem with overfocus? I just ordered one and I'm really surprised that this is still not a solved issue...

UPDATE - I haven't heard back from customer service after 1 week and 4 emails. This is super shady stuff. Avoid this company at all cost.

Have you been able to make changes on the applications that would show up in Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc?

I don’t follow - I can use this as a camera in those programs if that’s what you’re asking!

@@BryanCaragay So you can add your name to the bottom and add backgrounds in Composure but can you see them on a video call in Teams, Zoom, etc?
Also, I saw images that show audio in the Composure app but I don't see it on mine. Do you see it on yours?

This looks like a waste of money. It wasn't that much better than the MacBook's webcam and the sound wasn't great. I don't understand why Opal bothered or why they're charging that much.
