Have you seen the Broadway version? Marla Mindelle absolutely sold me on her character! Then I watched the movie and Wendy practically made me melt worse than the ice cream they snuck in.

I know! I especially love the little gestures and mannerisms she acted out in the character-- the scrunched up shoulders, the way she presses her palms to her cheeks when she's amazed or surprised, that part in Just A Touch of Love where you can see her bounce along with Deloris during the jump rope scene-- I have so many feelings for her.
I love the cash-collecting nun on 2:02. She's really having fun.

@@mibukdesjarlais534 The difference with the harry Potter movies was that JK Rowling was writing more and more books that provided source material for the series. The screen writers didn't have to come up with the story from scratch, which they'd have to do for further Sister Act movies. Also, the Harry Potter story was obviously intended to be a series of books. And while I agree the 2 SA movies were entertaining, I think that it would have gotten increasingly difficult to come up with plots for more movies that didn't feel increasingly contrived.
No, some movies are better existing, saying their message, then leaving once they have instead of dragging it out.

Sometimes you look at someone who reached such ridiculous heights of fame and fortune, and you realize it’s okay. They earned every penny of it. You don’t begrudge them their success at all. Whoopie can say what she wants on the View and alienate some folks with her shared thoughts. But for me she earned MY adoration way back in the 80’s and 90’s when her hbo special, and this film were made; when Ghost was made. And nothing she can ever say on the View today can EVER erase her icon status. Because her road was paved with hard work. Not gimmicks of dressing slutty, or acting dumb, or making sex tapes. Just hard work. You go, miss thang!
