But this is not the permanent solution Hope this comment reach more people Yesterday, Within like 1hr , more than 50 crackers busted near my house , people are just so dumb , they don't even know about the situation They are still enjoying this😢 And Also Diwali is not the problem But bursting crackers at a same day in a large amount creates the spikes in delhi pollution

Hi Mohak Mangal, I’m a fan of your work and have a suggestion regarding the farming sector. Every year, there's a dispute over Cauvery water between two states due to water shortages, mainly because they grow rice and sugarcane, which require a lot of water. Instead, they could grow millets, which need less water. Although the government supports millet farming, it’s not enough. If the government provides millets instead of rice to people, it could save costs and distribute more food. Millets are cheaper to buy than rice, allowing the government to offer larger quantities. This transition can be implemented gradually over a year, and the government can introduce millet recipes in schools. Benefits of Farming and Consuming Millets: Nutritional Profile: Millets: Rich in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals; lower glycemic index; gluten-free. Rice: Primarily a carbohydrate source; lower in fiber; glycemic index varies. Cultivation and Environmental Impact: Millets: Drought-resistant, require less water, thrive in arid conditions, lower carbon footprint. Rice: Water-intensive, contributes to water scarcity and methane emissions. Yield and Economic Viability: Millets: Lower yields but more profitable in water-scarce regions. Rice: Higher yields with well-established market infrastructure. Taste and Texture: Millets: Nutty flavor, slightly chewy, versatile. Rice: Mild flavor, soft texture, widely consumed. Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your response.
India needs to get over subsistence agriculture. Subsidies should be provided to those moving away from it, so large scale agriculture can be practiced. This will help us use more industrial equipment and scientific methods. Picture this, there is a plot of 70 acres of arable land. In case A, you have 10 farmers, each owning around 6-8 acres. They make approximately 5-8lakhs a year. Now will these guys invest their time and money in newer and more scientific equipment? Absolutely not. They will only think of surviving the next year or maybe saving money for retirement/education of children/marriage of children. Now you have another case, case B. Here we have 2 people owning the entire plot of 70 acres, so 35 each. Each one of them makes around 30-40 lakhs annually. These people have the peace of mind to think about newer more innovative ways to grow crops, and even if they themselves arent educated their children will be highly educated, enough to know newer technologies and ways to farm more efficiently, which in most cases is also good for the environment (ironically). Case B will result in lesser stubble burning.

Hi Mohak, The points you’ve mentioned about stubble burning are quite accurate. I’m also from Punjab and involved in farming. However, I’d like to clarify something that isn’t widely known about the stubble-sensing satellites. The main reason farmers burn stubble between 5-7 PM is due to reduced moisture content at that time, which makes it easier to ignite. Additionally, police officials conduct routine inspections to catch stubble burners during these periods, but most of these checks stop after 3 PM, which is why farmers prefer burning later in the evening. As for solutions, in our case, we cultivate 25 acres and haven’t resorted to stubble burning for the past five years. Instead, we hire contractors to make bales out of the stubble. However, there’s limited support from the government in this regard. Most baling equipment is owned by private industrialists, who typically require large land areas, making it difficult for small-scale farmers to utilize their services. Furthermore, these contractors often delay their visits, failing to process the stubble even after it’s been stacked for bailing.

Hi Mohak Mangal,
I’m a fan of your work and have a suggestion regarding the farming sector.
Benefits of Farming and Consuming Millets:
Nutritional Profile:
Millets: Rich in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals; lower glycemic index; gluten-free.
Rice: Primarily a carbohydrate source; lower in fiber; glycemic index varies.
Cultivation and Environmental Impact:
Millets: Drought-resistant, require less water, thrive in arid conditions, lower carbon footprint.
Rice: Water-intensive, contributes to water scarcity and methane emissions.
Yield and Economic Viability:
Millets: Lower yields but more profitable in water-scarce regions.
Rice: Higher yields with well-established market infrastructure.
Taste and Texture:
Millets: Nutty flavor, slightly chewy, versatile.

Hi Mohak,
The points you’ve mentioned about stubble burning are quite accurate.

The main problem of every problem is us who votes only in the name of freebies or caste or any other non-reasonable issues . We can clearly see this in the election of jharkhand .
I try my best on my level to tell everyone that freebies which is being distributes is our own money . I am trying my best to tell everyone and as i know the people are now too much aware , but still we are not raising the main issues during the vote .
Really thank you sir for making videos upon this topic
03:48 India will never change. Just look at the topics people outrage over and the priorities of the government. 10-15 kids were burned alive in Jhansi-look at how both the people and the government reacted to the incident. If we are still alive 10 years from now, I challenge you to look back and see how much India has actually changed.
I doubt people will survive or not till 2047
