- I devoured this short story on a flight and I HIGHLY recommend it. Such a strong voice and narrative command in this retelling of the Pygmalion myth. Madeline Miller gives a voice to a woman who was never allowed to tell her own story, or to end it the way she wanted. Brilliant!!
