I really think they did it on purpose too. Most of the Family Guy characters were generally unlikable, but Brian made the biggest moral fall because he was the show's straight-man. Many people started hating Brian the most for it, so it's possible they killed Brian but intended to bring him back.
I was abused by my family and then gaslighted about it when I wrote about it publicly; I was made to feel like the bad guy for talking about things *they did* that still affect me. I have a special hatred for that episode.
And now most are wishing it would get canceled again, it’s become terrible, it’s not the show it was in the early days, it used to be a slightly edgier version of The Simpsons, with the censors keeping them in check so they didn’t go too far, in the early seasons the characters loved and cared for each other and would’ve done anything for them to fix their mistakes and do the right thing, now the show is extremely offensive, over the top, and crude, and the characters are a bunch of hateful, abusive, psychotic, mentally unstable, bigoted, homicidal lunatics who belong locked up in an asylum.
As of the Vaccination Special of South Park, all three adult animated sitcoms I watch officially suck unfortunately. Including Family Guy and American Dad!
The scene where Quagmire yelled to Brian about all of the things he hates about him. That scene would have been so much more impactful if it had been Peter, or Lois, or Meg, or ANYONE other than Quagmire! He's done things 1,000 times worse than Brian has! That's like Hitler telling Justin Bieber that he's a bad person!
Just wanted to interject that Quagmire never really set himself as superior or denied his faults. He just answered a question for Brian. Quagmire's morality isn't that relevant to "Why don't you like me?"
@@kylegathright True, but the issue is that Quagmire's points about Brian's behavior ring hollow when Quagmire himself has done the same things in a much worse way. Everything Quagmire says about Brian can easily be thrown back at him.
I love the way they humorously give us a message to the viewers that such horrible people really really exists in real life so we should stay away from such weirdos. This is exactly the reason why I love The Family Guy. From racism to a stupid mentality they literally cover up each and every factor of our lives.
Meg apologizing for herself made me quit. I’ve always LOVED “Family Guy”, but after watching her apologizing to her family unnerved me. Made me think of my situation with my own family. I’m NEVER gonna apologize who I am with my own family. You either love me, or you don’t.
True. This show isnt for christians or atheists and it's not for republicans or democrats it's for everyone and no one and makes fun of everything equally. The fact that some people rage quit is hilarious to me.
Dishonorable Mention: *"Brian Writes a Best Seller" as a whole -This episode was Brian at his absolute worst, plain and simple. It's among the worst episodes of the entire series and it's a mystery why Mojo doesn't put it on many of their lists when talking negatively about Family Guy.
I know right? When Brian pretty much avoided having to apologize to Stewie, all Stewie could respond with is saying to Brian "You can't write". He should've did a "Where's my money?!" moment to him
Yeah I agree Brian & Stewie was an ALMOST perfect episode. But Yeah That Diaper Eating went a little bit too far, and don’t even get me started on Brian cleaning Stewie’s… “You-Know-What.”
Whats the worst part about #2 is that it is the episode directly after #6. That's right, the episode about how abuse is wrong and the perpetrators should die for it comes right after the episode where Meg finally has the guts to stand up to her family... only to learn the lesson that she should put up with the abuse for the sake of her abusers.
Two episodes specifically did it for me. When Brian tried to exploit his estranged son after being totally absent from him for years and when Meg developed a Santa daddy fetish and was taking Stewie to the mall over and over again so she could sit on Santa's lap
Those aren't even the worst episodes . what about the DVD commentary episode ??? What about the solo Stewie episode when he was just talking to a therapist the whole time ?? Why would a baby need to talk to a therapist ??? And what about the super disgusting herpes episode ???
@@Nickr3000 I mean, people thought the Emmy's one was pandering, even when looking back at it, it was just parody and poking fun at themselves, and the herpes one was disgusting and portrayed Brian, the peoples favourite character, in a really negative and sinister way.
What people seem to forget is that at the end of the day, Brian is still a dog, and eating out of a diaper is something a dog would likely do, as Stewie says in that scene, "it's not a judgement it's just a fact". Also that scene did show what one is willing to do for the other, strengthening the friendship.

After the firts two seasons, anyone who watches Family Guy knows what they are getting into too. So if you rage quit after that, its kinda stupid, you knew what you were getting into
I stopped watching/being interested in Family Guy about 10 years ago. The humor stopped being good at a certain point. It always surprises me they make new episodes to this day, I can’t even imagine what they’re like.
Nearly all of these moments did make me rage-quit for awhile, but I think that's part of the proof of the gravity of the Family Guy formula. Just that there's nearly NOTHING that can transpire to make a fan quit it for good. Even the things that utterly traumatized me into quitting, upon re-viewing, I can at least SEE where the joke was coming from. That's the key to ANY good comedy or joke: It has to have SOME basis in reality, or else it falls flat...and when you tell a joke correctly it can and SHOULD p-ss someone off every single time.
The only ones I really had a problem with was 20, 8 and 3. I loved the Conway Twitty Cutaways, still do. The long one, I don't hate it, but it's just so damn long. It isn't the end of the world, gives me time to look at my phone and shit, and it's like the only country song I've ever heard. I kinda liked it, but just so damn long. With #8, it's kind of just gross to me watching Lois kiss a teenager. It's not even about the cheating or her character in general, it's just watching an adult makeout with a child. That's pretty disgusting if you ask me. Then, for Lois to brag about it? That's where I lost some respect for her. Stewie getting pregnant, it was an episode. It was interesting, but the fact that he's a toddler made it weird for me. Then you remember Brian is also a dog and technically an adult. While Brian didn't do anything to him and was just kind of rolling with it, it's still weird and doesn't sit with me. Outside of those three, I just think the fanbase is kind of sensitive lol especially with #1, that really proved to me how sensitive the community is. The fact that they killed a character (just to bring him back), but the community was genuinely outraged and people were complaining the creator used it as a message to teach people to be grateful. I don't know. It's a fictional character, you shouldn't be that outraged over it. I can understand putting the show down if Brian was your favorite, but let's be real. I dont think people love Brian like that lol
People weren't mad that they killed Brian because they love him so much. They were mad because they knew it wouldn't be a permanent decision. They knew that the writers would never have the balls to kill Brian for good; so the whole thing felt like a waste of time, and a cheap ratings ploy.
I feel there are moments that should have gotten an honorable mention, like when Stewie and Brian try to save Christmas, but instead it turns into a home invasion. There's also the time when Brian is married and his wife is choking on food and he doesn't perform the Heimlich maneuver. Let's also not forget this season that puts Lois in the worst light, like nearly killing a coffee shop worker to get her photo on the Customer of the Month board, then trying to cover it up by kidnapping other employees. There's also the episode she becomes addicted to painkillers and she tries to use Stewie to fish pills out of the toilet, nearly drowning him in the process.
Don't forget the one where Lois abandons her family on Christmas Eve because she's sick of having to clean up after them fully expecting them to crash and burn as a result while she stalks them to see it happen... only for Peter and the rest of the family to have a perfectly fine Christmas without her. That's just the start, rather than be happy for them and just enjoy a day off or two she proceeds to literally in a parody of How the Grinch Stole Christmas sneak into the house at night and steal everything her own family owns. And finally as a cherry on top unlike the Grinch Lois never fesses up to her crime and allows a random immigrant neighbor on her block to take the blame for it and get deported. That's it. That's how the episode ends. That was my personal "Lois is the worst" moment.
Well, you are one of those viewers who think protagonists should be preachy and morally upright, right? It's a fucking dark comedy, not a typical Murikan sitcom.
@@reyc9192 my guy the whole point of this video is to talk about why ppl quit watching, and you’re here getting mad at someone for explaining why they stopped. Make it make sense, nobody cares about your take.
Im sorry it upset you so much but it's just a silly cartoon meant to be very irreverent. Sorry you haven't been able to enjoy all the crass humor since that episode. You're missing out.
it's called comedy for a reason. you may not like the type of comedy, but if all the issues on the list had been discussed at the end or moral of the story was explained it wouldn't be the Family Guy comedy show. it's not meant to make you realize how something is unfair or sad or teach you anything by the end with some elementary school narration, it does that while being fun. of course it can't be fun for everyone, it hits and misses depending on the person watching it, but it's always entertaining.
that bank vault bit was both hilariously disturbing and disturbingly hilarious... and my fave takeaway was an interview Seth Mcfarlane gave wherein he pointed out he did all the voice work so it was him, by himself in a sound booth for the week...
Yeah the peter sexual harassment episode gave me a nostalgia rofl. The actual harassment wasn't funny, but that scene when Quagmire nopes out of sex with her was absolutely hilarious.
The great thing about cartoons is the cartoon artists can do what ever you want in any situation. I am waiting to see if Lois finds a new man and Meg at last finds love and respect. Even Brian as a political man and Stewie a super hero there are no bounds to the imagination these days
Courage the cowardly dog's episode, the mask, so handled abuse better than brenda's abuse storyline. At least the villain felt more realistic from being abusive to kind as it shows he controls his victim. Even the supposed antagonist who hurts Courage is an example of how abuse impacts others and they can adopt similar traits to their abuser.
@@chrisrj9871 Keep in mind, I have nothing against little kids, adolescents and young adults who admitted that they’re attracted to men and women aged 20 to 56 in both real life and fiction, but millions of people everywhere are so judgmental and stupid, they didn’t realize that teleiophilia existed after all.
I actually liked the episode when Brian changed parties due to the fact it happens in real life for many reasons. I hated the episode that was number 10 though and was when I started to hate Lois even more.
I saw an episode once where they explained to the characters that they were fictional characters being voiced by actors. I thought that was the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.
4:16 I actually liked the long name joke from "Con Heiress." I think it saved the episode from being one the worst of Season 17 (if not ever). Not only do they own up to stealing the gag from Monty Python right in the middle of the gag, but it pays off in the end when Brian, Stewie and Quagmire's mark was revealed to be Meg in disguise because as it was pointed out in a Season 6 cutaway gag, Meg HATES MONTY PYTHON. It's hilarious and ironic to me that she would use an alias based on a show she loathes.
No no it's not and some people seem to think that Family Guy should never do it cuz then it's "not the same show". I say poopoo to that. It's not the same show when no character remains even one bit likable
I rewatch Family Guy constantly but I skip over the episodes that I feel go "too far" (several of which are ones featured here). The ones that are too gross or certain ones that portray my faith poorly. But I dont "rage quit" over any of these. Also, getting upset over Quagmire or Lois or Brian's behavior misses the point, we're not to find these characters inspirational.
I usually like the jokes that go on for a daft amount of time but both the joke with the guys singing for three minutes and the long-name joke it was just annoying. Especially as they did the same long name jokes several times in the episode and I found myself inwardly groaning every time.
Granted several of these are low hanging fruit, it's funny that others were literally people getting mad because reality hurts. Southpark does a much better job if this.
There was a Halloween episode where Chris and Meg accidentally end up making out in a closet as part of a game. That pissed me off so much I threw the remote at the TV. I couldn't even finish the episode.
When Peter had that Stroke that almost made me quit Family Guy. I have a high tolerance for comedy but there's just nothing funny about having a Stroke.
835: What grinds my gears...hmmm 20 -so so for me 19 -Brian isn’t my favorite character 18 -gross, gross 17 -didn’t see that episode 16 -didn’t see that either 15 -bad, just bad 14 -meh 13 -didn’t see that episode and I don’t care that much for it 12 -being a parody of the 40-Year Old Virgin, it was so-so 11 -kinda grinds my gears 10 -I feel bad for Peter 9 -as gross as it is, it did grind my gears 8 -she’s never “mother of the year” 7 -bad decision, just awful 6 -Meg finally stands up for herself and the ending isn’t cool. With him dead, I’m pretty sure he would never be husband/father 1 -tragic but mentioning it as a ad, really?
I'll be honest the long name one is actually kind of funny especially since recently there's been memes of Five Nights at Freddy's characters being called British long names. So it's kind of hilarious
For me, it was this scene where Brian let a dog off its leash, and the dog then brutally mauled a smaller dog with blood flying everywhere, leading to it getting shot and killed by an officer, and the smaller dog's owner breaking down crying. Which season was that? I'm pretty sure it was the same season as Seahorse Seashell Party, but I'm not sure.
Bird is the word, overpoliticization, that entire bank episode (not just the shit eating scene), Family guy stopped being funny pretty much after the whole ratings episode. The entire show for the last 10 years is just seth macfarlane imitating big band musicians and patting himself on the back. Super unwatchable now.

I love the one with Stewie's psychologist. He did felt bad at the end when he asks Brian to stay with him to sleep well
The more controversial the episode, the more I love Family guy.
Meg apologizing for standing up for herself always infuriates me. Haven't watched the show since.

"I'll tell ya Bob I just got in my car and drove it, and when there was a guy in my way I killed him."
that bank vault bit was both hilariously disturbing and disturbingly hilarious... and my fave takeaway was an interview Seth Mcfarlane gave wherein he pointed out he did all the voice work so it was him, by himself in a sound booth for the week...
4:14 was the longest 20 seconds of my life
“Diaper eating” was absolutely gross. 🤢🤮
FACTS
I've seen dogs do worse than that.
I thought I was gonna be sick
Most of these episodes are some of the best episodes of Family Guy.
Yeah, Some people just don’t have a sense of humor

That episode involves teleiophilia, ephebophilia and adultery.
Trust me.
And?
So?
@@chrisrj9871
Keep in mind, I have nothing against little kids, adolescents and young adults who admitted that they’re attracted to men and women aged 20 to 56 in both real life and fiction, but millions of people everywhere are so judgmental and stupid, they didn’t realize that teleiophilia existed after all.
Vern & Johnny were always my favorite 😂😂
I need a jew is hands down number one.. it got them cancelled..
Gonna be honest, there's not a single thing on this list that's bothered me or made me Rage Quit as I'm still watching Family Guy to this day.
But this video is way too long and boring and I didn't even make it half-way through.
@@jovetj you didn't make it halfway through or you're implying I didn't?
@@aurawolf2221 I was speaking for myself :)
@@jovetj ahh right haha.
I always say there’s at least 1 thing every episode that they can get canceled over. Also, I think Peter Griffin is the funniest character on t.v.
showing empathy is never a bad move
No no it's not and some people seem to think that Family Guy should never do it cuz then it's "not the same show". I say poopoo to that. It's not the same show when no character remains even one bit likable
Do you know what really grinds my gears? Killing off Brian Griffin
Family guy used to be great, still good now but just haven't got that much interest in it anymore..
Pretty much like any cartoon.
like every show
Yap like spongbob and the rest
I usually like the jokes that go on for a daft amount of time but both the joke with the guys singing for three minutes and the long-name joke it was just annoying. Especially as they did the same long name jokes several times in the episode and I found myself inwardly groaning every time.
The dvd commentary one is one of my favorite episodes lol. Though I can get why it’s not for all
i wish they would make family guy a adult cartoon instead of a sitcom if stewie & brian were cartoon charters there would be no stopping them.
If you rage quit over a cartoon that nobody is forcing you to watch, you may as well give up on life. It’ll never get better for you
Fuck yeah 👏🏻
Granted several of these are low hanging fruit, it's funny that others were literally people getting mad because reality hurts. Southpark does a much better job if this.
South Park has better writing and just handles mocking situations with a lot better take and understanding of the issue at hand.
Top 20 times WatchMojo didn't understand what "rage quit" means
There was a Halloween episode where Chris and Meg accidentally end up making out in a closet as part of a game. That pissed me off so much I threw the remote at the TV. I couldn't even finish the episode.
You sound like a very fragile person.
@@glentor3 Not at all.
When Peter had that Stroke that almost made me quit Family Guy. I have a high tolerance for comedy but there's just nothing funny about having a Stroke.
So my favorite moments were your worst. All subjective.
In the episode “Go, Stewie, Go!”, Meg’s then-boyfriend was a teleiophile and Lois cheated on Peter.
@@Jo_Mama710 Google Jonathan.....Google is a thing

Exactly.
I like how they don’t show the intense parts but they do speak about it
the moment I hated the most was when meg finally stood up for herself, but then took it away, THAT, that is what I will never forgive
Family guy helped me through so many hard times. Cure to depression.
The whale bit is hilarious! You’re whalecome….😂
Man i love the long name jokes. For me it never gets bored🤣🤣🤣
It has massive viewership still and it's like South Park. If you know Seth McFarlane it's hard to even be mad about any of it.
I don't know 😅😅😅 I actually laughed at what's in the list. Most of em Anyway
I’ve never felt rage for this show ever 💀 it’s too good but I was upset that they killed Brian off but they brought him back so that was good

16 -didn’t see that either
15 -bad, just bad
14 -meh
13 -didn’t see that episode and I don’t care that much for it
12 -being a parody of the 40-Year Old Virgin, it was so-so
11 -kinda grinds my gears
10 -I feel bad for Peter
9 -as gross as it is, it did grind my gears
8 -she’s never “mother of the year”
7 -bad decision, just awful
6 -Meg finally stands up for herself and the ending isn’t cool. She deserves better and FYI, she didn’t fake her death, that was a identity mix-up
5 -yeah, that grinds my gears
4 -crosses the line
3 -I did nothing but laugh through the whole episode but honestly I don’t know what Stewie was thinking
2 -another one for sure, Jeff is the worst. With him dead, I’m pretty sure he would never be husband/father
1 -tragic but mentioning it as a ad, really?
The whale moment was definitely the worst. I had to close my eyes through the whole sequence when I watched it.
You’re… whalecome!!!
I'll be honest the long name one is actually kind of funny especially since recently there's been memes of Five Nights at Freddy's characters being called British long names. So it's kind of hilarious
Seth really knows how to get under people’s skins!
He strikes me as having been that kid who acts like a complete little shit just for attention.

Jokes that can go on for awhile are most suited for Monty Python.
“Brian & Stewie” was a great episode. Just one setting, no cutaway gags - but they still had to put in some complete gross-out humor.

the only thing that grin my gears is that Stewie and Brian never met the Evil Monkey >:{
Honestly, I loved the Conway cutaway.
That one was WAY too long, so it cheapened the joke.
I will NEVER get tired of Vern and Johnny
I love Family Guy but I never loved the couple of Peter and Lois. It’s no wonder they’re made for each other
Bird is the word, overpoliticization, that entire bank episode (not just the shit eating scene), Family guy stopped being funny pretty much after the whole ratings episode.
The entire show for the last 10 years is just seth macfarlane imitating big band musicians and patting himself on the back. Super unwatchable now.
None of these are tragic.... Family Guy is hilarious....EVERY episode
this made me rage quit? nah, this made me a fan!
You forgot to add Quagmire goring dating Meg as soon as she turned 18. The 61 year old dating his friend’s daughter was disrespectful.
Every time they do that thing where someone falls & they spend a minute going, "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" gets old really quick
