  • Four days after a lake effect snowstorm pummeled the Buffalo, NY area, dropping four to seven feet on the Lake Erie communities, clean-up efforts are still in full swing. Just south of the Nickel City, Lackawanna was no different as not only were road crews and private residences still digging out, but the South Buffalo Railway was as well. Utilizing a trio of Buffalo & Pittsburgh EMD end cab switchers, a crew of the railroad cleared the snow from the tracks in PS Yard before heading north up the line towards B&P's Buffalo Creek Yard light power.
