This seems fun, I will update later if it was fun. Edit: It was fun PS: A Spartan in Halo Infinite wears the same exact armour as Noble 6, people speculated it was Noble 6, I do not know.
It'd be funny if Noble 6 actually somehow miraculously survived the Fall of Reach, but just left their helmet behind because they couldn't be asked to go back for it.
@Old Man Reacts I wouldn't say Reach was Istvaan but rather the beginning of the siege of terra where the enemy is at the gates and beginning to breach the walls or even the intial traitor assault on terra, where as the battle of earth is basically the end of the heresy and the ark is the vengeful spirit, istvaan would be harvest due to the fact that it's where the war began and was devastating where the UNSC was winning at first but then a crushing defeat hits them
For one of my favorite IP's that I like to semi-cryptically bring up, especially in the category of hidden/past/borderline grimdark, there wasn't a single setting shaking battle in the same way, but the Red Raids have a substantial fallout. I GUESS the battle for Meridian, but I don't know that it shook people in the same way, and most of your examples aren't the ones that ended the wars. Cortanna is oversexualized by game devs and fan artists, especially in her visuals from 4, but keep in mind that joking about hentai of her REALLY doesn't work given that's arguably her mother's journal. That's a sketch of what she could arguably see as her daughter, in the way her daughter chooses to appear.
As far as the battle comment goes, I tend to find in a lot of sci-fi when it comes to specific wars there's a singular battle that kind of defines how the war is going to go. I.E. Istvaan V, Wolf 359 It is usually a battle that has a legacy strapped to it as either the first real encounter between protagonist factions and antagonist factions. It usually establishes the dichotomy between the two, and nothing illustrates it better than the first scene of Star Wars IV where you have a this small ship getting ran down by this massive warship. Right off the bat you can see the differences between the two. Istvaan V is there because it was the first time we got to see the absolute scale of what the Warmaster could do. Reach was a battle like that to me.
Star wars: battle of yavin 4 Star trek: the first war with the borg Halo: the fall of reach or the battle for harvest Batttec: the Amaru's civil war or the clan invasion Mech assault a spin off/ off shoot of battle tec: the first or second battles with The Word of Blake
Destiny has a few Decissive battle's, Six Fronts, Twilight Cap, The Great Disaster, The Red War and many many others... But if i had to pick just one I would have to say Twilight Gap. Not because it was the first conflict nor the last but due to the cultural impact it had on those fighting and just how close it actually was. Twilight Gap saw 3 major Eliksni Houses joined together to assault the Last City in order to try and reclaim the God that left them during the fall of their civilisation and chose Humanity instead, to them it was a battle to prove to themselves and humanity that they are not as we called them: Fallen... To humanity the battle was not only about defending the last safe city on Earth but also to defend our mantle as the chosen of the Traveler and to prove we are worthy of it's sacrifice to save us from our own fall. The conclusion of this battle would shape the cultural story of both sides forever, and humanity nearly lost. The Fallen/Eliksni forces managed to breach the City's walls and the commander in charge gave the order to retreat and regroup within the city itself, But Lord Shaxx saw that allowing the fallen trough would lead to an ultimate loss as the guardians would be out of their prepared defensive positions and forced to safeguard civilians as well. So Shaxx and 5 others held the Gap performing such feats of might and heroism taht the effects can still be felt in the modern day in residual light, and they bought the other guardians enough time to regroup and launch a devastating counter attack that would see the Fallen assault broken. Today the Gap is little more then a live fire excersice arena, but the history forged before it will newer be forgotten even as we try to heal those wounds with our Eliksni allies in the House of Light.
I'd also say that Burning Lake/Great disaster were also very important as since then the moon was considerd lost to the hive and city forces would never again, until the death of the witness, form anything resembling an army ever again. The Gap was very important and still had story impacts as far as the Warmind DLC with Anna being alive.
It is never actually said that b312 is killed. After all I played that end game level and I had one run where I literally could not get myself killed. I got really good at surviving.
The Covenant sent an entire invading Army just to deal with Noble Six or Spartan B312. In the said fight, Spartan B312 eliminated over 1200 hostiles after the Autumn's departure and was officially killed off by an elite kill Squad in which that Squad sacrifice themselves as well for the supposed great journey as Covenant Cruisers came into the airspace and glass the entire area to ensure that Spartan B312 was dead
In my opinion the defining fight of the Halo universe would be the Battle of Installation 04 not Reach. Reach is important but not as important as Installation 04
@@Archangel1862 yeah I guess it was the battle of installation 04 that made the Domino affect for everything I was just giving examples for other important battles that could count as well

Good to know you are back
That Dominion War battle you mentioned, if you're thinking of the 7th fleet attacking the Tyra system, there was 112 ships and 14 survived.
Reaction to halo wars 1 and 2 would be great. also fall of reach audio book is great.

Remember reach
7:15 lol time is relative? I dunno either but it is interesting. I'm guessing the reach time is local and military calenders is originally earth date

Lol yes, B-312 is officially KIA, they did not survive becoming an energy sword kabab nor the glassing which followed
