    (These tips I'm about to say are best for RWD drag)
    - When drag racing, you want to take the weight and power of the motor and gently guide it up and back during launch. If not enough weight is forced back, the tires will spin. If too much weight is forced back, the car will wheelie or lose power through launch.
    (Spring Stiffness)
    1.The front spring stiffness should be very soft to push it off the ground, but not too soft or you'll bounce and lose acceleration while going down the track.
    2.The rear spring stiffness should be really stiff to force the weight of the car onto the rear tires to prevent wheel spin and increase traction, but if it's too stiff, you'll lose power through too much grip.
    (Dampening Stiffness)
    1. Front rebound should be soft to help force the tire to lift the front
    2. Front bump should be not too stiff and not too soft to help with a smooth landing. If too stiff, the landing could do hard bounces and lose traction; if too soft, the front will wobble down the track causing the car to loose power.
    3. Rear rebound should be stiff to keep the car from forcing the wheel away from the body
    4. Rear bump should be soft as it helps set the weight of the rear onto the wheel.
    (Spring Height)
    1.If the car has a low ride height, the rear should sit about 2-3 inches higher than the front. This will help even the weight distribution and even out the car under full acceleration "see pro-mods and funny cars for example" If the rear is too high, it will prevent the power from being delivered properly.
    2.If the car has a high ride height, the front should sit between (.4)-2 inches higher than the rear. this helps raise the rear under full acceleration to level out the car "See Gassers and race trucks for example" if the front is too high, it will lose power through the tires.
    - Drag cars operate properly with solid/live rear axels to keep each tire even on the strip. the problem its that the Forza series physics make it seem as if all cars have Independent rear suspension. The best way to fix this is with the Anti roll bars.
    (Anti-Roll Bars)
    1. Rear ARB should be all the way stiff to simulate a Solid rear axel, helps with even traction.
    2. Front ARB should be completely soft to simulate double wishbone drag suspension.
    (Camber)
    1. Rear camber should be 0 as with a solid rear axel, the suspension cant flex separately.
    2. Front camber should be between .1-.8 positive to help with reducing front tire friction. Too much front camber can cause instability.
    "the game Is kinda arcade-sim and I've realized that it tends to make cars with live rear axels act like IRS. If your trying to simulate a car with a solid rear axel in this game, you have to turn the rear anti roll bars all the way up. I've learned this throughout the years of building drag cars, prerunners, and trophy trucks in the horizon series."
    - If you would like to test a tune like this, I have a tune on the storefront for the Nova Horizon Edition, my gamertag is BIGBONEBRAKER11. the tune is a little outdated though as I have not played the game in 2 months and have learned a lot more about tuning since then, but it is still a good example if you need to see how a car should launch. I've also built a drag tune for the Hoonigan Chevy Gasser.

  • @Texas_Road_Warrior

    Weight transfer in drag racing is good but what you’re doing is too much, what you want to do is have the power from the engine move the weight up and back and use the suspension to force the tire into the ground ( this is not weight transfer ) the weight transfer plays a role but it’s not the whole story... you want the rear just stiff enough so it forces the tire into the ground but not TOO stiff also if it’s too soft you’ll be moving all the weight back but the suspension compresses and the energy is wasted and not reach the tire... also your dampening is a little off, you have the right idea, Rebound is rate at which body separates from the tire, bump ( compression ) is opposite of that, what you’re doing is making the front end bounce and that weight and force cant be used efficiently... You want the front to jump up and slowly fall throughout the pass, and you want the back to squat ( ever so slightly ) if it’s to stiff you’ll shake ( spin ) the tire, too soft and it’s wasted energy...

    • @harmony624
      @harmony624 6 лет назад +19

      TexasRoadWarrior Energy can not be wasted, only be transferred into something else more commonly known as sound or heat.

    Apply this tune to nissan silvia (the one that is green in autoshow when stock) = nuts. You do have to mess with gears to get it to grip on launch. same engine , 6.2, but mine only has 989 hp i think i didn't do the intercooler or whatever it's called in this game. I was running 15 mph (176 was my best) faster through the speed trap with that car than this one launching at 1700 rpm

      @JMastura 6 лет назад +8

      I know, they could of at least added one more drag strip somewhere, but as usual the devs are retarded and don't listen to the people that keep them in business. Honestly how dumb can people get. They had years to make a proper drag strip, just one straight road. It must be too hard for the devs though since sadly they are mentally retarded, the one in forza 3 was good, but not perfect. I like that they added the lights this time around though. The game is full of other problems too, such as sound issues and the game stuttering. Oh and lots of gay clothes and autistis dance moves, just what I want in a super wheel spin, 5000 credits, a pair of girls flower slippers, and a fortnite dance move, thanks turn10.
      Hopefully they bring some drag strips in dlc. We just have to give them time since they are slow learners.

      xS3NORW4KOx this game makes it extremely easy for everyone to make a drag car with the new drag tires that they given us . I been tuning for 7 years and by now I tune by feel . I tune based on how quick the vehicle launches of the line and how fast I get to the quarter mile . The faster I get to trap the car is the way I know I’m making it as fast as I can get it . It’s something that you’ll simply need to just mess around with . But my tunes gives you the beginning factors that helps you make a very fast drag car .

    I wonder if the rally suspension and race suspension are really any different after they’re tuned? I usually use the race suspension but tune it. And too much weight transfer will hit the tires hard and unload quick. I also like to tune the trans to be a glide/th400/4L80/th350 for a little more realism

      Ben Waller “ Manual with clutch “ , No FLYWHEEL , first press down on the E-BRAKE ( A button ) this SLOWLY press the GAS ( RT ) until you have the gas press all the way down and ebrake . You’ll see the vehicle hold at 2RPM .
