YO. This is the best video. It's so fun because there's so many unique features and you guys are just hilarious. Love the cutaways jokes. Cannot wait to see this grow
Not going to lie, I feel very comfortable on skinnies for some reason. It’s the drops and jumps I have a harder time with. I’ve been ridding for awhile but have never done anything at the level Jimmy is teaching me. Practice is key, as Jimmy says!
Great video guys. Super helpful for a seasoned rider with a slight case of skinnyphobia. Also I really enjoy the comedic dynamic between you and Bryan”the beginner”. It’s super fun and you should include more of those shenanigans. Thanks, I love the channel, I may be a little biased because I’m from Massachusetts.
Appreciate it man! It’s always a blast when we are out there. I could honestly do an hour long blooper real for each vid. Haha. Truly appreciate the support!
Hi! I have 2 months as mtb biker, and I liked a lot your videos. Excellent videos, excellent content, very good explanation and a very good vibe from both of you. Awesome!!,
Myself and wife been enjoying the videos... she's been practicing the body control when goin downhill and keeping chest forward and butt over the seat.. she's gaining more confidence doin features
I've been struggling with this for years. But only the ones that are less than trice tire width. Like the one at end of video. I though most of the planks in the video not skinny. I'd like a more advanced technical guide for people that are over the fear and can bail. People that only struggle at the turns that bikes don’t go around. Thats me. Sorry but this video was not helpful for me. Due to lack of technical instruction and very low difficulty level of demonstrated skills.
@@MTBTravelReview true. But is there an advanced guide? I really struggle to know whats going on with back wheel. Its like there is a formula I don't know. Which predicts how much back wheel cuts the corner....
@@MongrelShark I haven’t made any advanced videos yet. The only advanced skill needed for sharper corners on a skinny is to learn to lift and pivot your back wheel, which is briefly touched on in the video and I actually do in the video on one of the longer and trickier skinnies. Bikes keep getting longer and slacker and the you can only do so much without lifting and pivoting the back wheel using body weight and technique.
@@MTBTravelReview thanks. I was just going outside to practice front and back pivots on my bmx :) The part I have trouble with is knowing this point where you have to pivot. Especially on small round logs. Where the round top adds traction issues. Just found a few trials videos related to the skills. Can't find a single mtb video on advanced skinnies. After a couple hours looking and watching many similar beginner guides. Perhaps you could do one sometime?

Thanks man! It’s a blast making these and we hope to keep making more!
This is such a good video. It doesn't just tell you what to do, but how to learn to do what you're telling us to do.
Appreciate it!

Damn Bryan is a fast learner!! that tree stump skinny is sick
He learns so fast! It’s crazy, but so cool to watch him take little pointers and just make it happen.
Send it!
LOL this was so fun to watch. You guys r too funny!
Thanks! Haha. Bryan always keeps things interesting.
Funny content!

Thank you very much! We are happy to help and will keep them coming!
C-saws are sick! Too bad I haven’t encountered many of them on the trails I’ve visited.
They are elusive, but so fun when you find them!!
Where were you guys riding? Brian - Love the NightShift swag!

Bissell Brothers Brewing. Brian, cool.
The man knows his beer!
Stoppie my arse it’s called a track stand 🤣 good vid tho🙌🏽
Semantics. Thanks!
See-Saw DANG IT. :)
🤣👌🏼
Would you think 27.5 wheels are more effective on those sharp “skinny feature” turns?
27.5 wheels tend to make a shorter wheelbase, so generally speaking, yes. I’ll never go back though. 29 is epic.
Nice vidi bro
Thanks bro
I don't know if "level 4 the ultimate skinny" at 'Rica has an actual name, but I call it "recipe for a crushed testicle"
Hahaha I was waiting for someone who’s actually seen it! It’s a good one!
Where are you guys riding? You from Maine?
This is at Lowell Dracut town forest in MA. I was in MA, but live in VT now. Ride all over.
What kinda MTB is Silent Bob runnin with?
He’s on an SB150 these days

The title says “beginner MTB sessions”, so makes sense.

I’m more comfortable jumping than on slow skinnies…
Good reason to practice them!
You owe me 5 bucks dude lol
