Each to their own but I find a fish bag under the front deck ran horizontally is a great option to an esky taking up floor space. The front locker I put 2x10L jerry's and a cast net. 3 do fit perfectly. I just use a woollies cool bag for my drinks. It's squishy and fits under the hatch. My balance isn't the best due to a brain injury, so I prefer a clear deck to minimise trip hazards. Boats are very personal to the fisherman/captain...

Awesome stuff man. Can definitely relate to the never ending tinny upgrades. Gotta really enjoy that sweet spot of a few months when everything is done and set up just how you want it because once you finally get there things start to break and gotta be re done haha. Sick boat bro!

Hi Mick, ended up buying the anchor well and the Fast Tail based on your recommendation, and am rapped with both. I have a new quintrex 460 renegade with a 75hp Yammie on the back as well as 2xAGM batteries on the back which made her very bum heavy and the anchor well is awesome as a casting deck. Regards Col

Hi Mick, love your content, I am in WA now but lived in mckay for 8 years, I ran the 440 renegade with a 60 yam and loved it, when loaded i ran an 11g and lite ship ran a 12g which would be perfect for your set up, you should see around 5800 to 5900 rpm with a load wich will be perfect. !!!

Hi Mick, I really enjoyed your video, and will be watching with interest when you upgrade the prop. My F60 (26 hrs) could also do with a different prop. The dealer put a 111/2 x 13 and it gets around ok, but only 5200 rpm when trimmed to the sweet spot. It's pushing a Savage 455 with up to 60 lts of fuel onboard, so think a 12 pitch may get a bit more or even an 11. It's so good on fuel though, i've added fuel saver to help keep it fresh.

I’ve upgraded the gearbox now to a box of the 70hp so I’m swinging a bigger prop again 😅

    Hey,
Nice set up on the boat.
I’ve been setting up my little 420 renegade and with the fuel tank capacity I was able to get a 97Lt fuel tank custom made up as I ripped out the 50lt that came with it because I was doing heaps of offshore stuff on tuna and didn’t want to carry Jerry’s with Me.
So you will easily be able to get 50lts under the floor.

    • @Micksgonefishing

Yeah 50 will be good, that’ll do me fine 👌🏻

If it starts to change the exhaust note and idle funny you will have little pebles jammed up in the fuel cooler pipes in behind the plenium chamber, just need to remove the little cooling pipes and back flush the pebles out, common problem with the yammys and creek fishing, they make there way up through the water intake cheers..

Your correct, if it idles high the thermostat can be buggered too. Fuel economy turns to shit as well.

Yeah the 25 does what I need and it’s easy enough to carry a jerry, next tinny I get will be a custom build so I’ll do that then 👌🏻

I haven’t really looked into it to be honest mate, since I’ve got the Haines and it’s so economical I prefer that comfort even for island runs these days.. the F60 is epic on fuel so a 25L tank and a spare 5L jerry gets me almost a 100km range for coastal runs..
