This is Jim, I am the owner of Valor Fitness. Just now saw your video!. Very well done. Regarding the length of the bands. You are correct on the length being long. However, the elasticity factor needs to be taken into account with one's range of motion along with the increase in tension as the athlete goes from point A to point B.. I tried to work out a mathematical equation on the stretch factor vs. the tension factor. If a band is too short, it will max out faster and your tension will go from 10lbs at the start to 80lbs at the end of the motion due to the band can no longer stretch. This large increase in tension may do more harm at the end of the range of motion. However, your comments about the ugliness of all the bands hanging down are well taken. Let me do some thinking on this and find a way to address the issue. Good job on your videos. They are informative.
Hi Mr. Vanderbleek! It’s awesome that you came across my video. Your elasticity factor is a great point and one that clearly was taken into consideration of the making of the bands. I have enjoyed the product immensely since getting it and hope that my video helps you further your success as a great fitness product provider. thank you for being open to feedback and for watching/commenting here. I hope to review more of your products in the future! I recommend these to everybody! Thanks again! John
@@JohnTheCoach_ Thanks for your reply. I am open to as much input/feedback/suggestions as possible. No one is perfect, we all try to do our best. I love the format of your videos. I showed your video to a few of my staff regarding the layout, editing, content & entertainment factor. All done really well. Yes, we are heavily involved in the CrossFit culture. Over the past 4 years, we have supported over 125 Fitness Competitions around the State of Florida. It has been a lot of fun. Check out a video called WOD Wars 2021. This was on our property. If you are ever in the area of our Corp Office (Seminole, FL) please drop by and I will show you around.
Oh for sure! I have been to, volunteered at and even competed in WOD wars multiple years in the past! I’ll be down in Seminole a little bit in the new year and I will definitely make it a point to swing by and see the new location! I had been to the largo location a few years back for a few events. Keep making high quality stuff. Thanks again for the compliments on my content! Have a great day!
I think an easy solution to eliminate the bands from hanging down on either side would be a hook attachment to either side of a rig or a wall. Maybe Valor can create an inexpensive hook thats fashionable and not ugly. Easy fix.
I saw in one of your replys to a comment and you mentioned FitCord. They ARE still being made and they're the only ones i know that are made in America. In fact they were the original manufacturer and supplier to CrossOver Symetry until they decided to buy from overseas instead. I have FitCord, CrossOver Symetry, and Stroops bands. FitCord is the most consistent in tension unlike the other two that increase dramatically. And that's not good right now for my rehab shoulder work.
Thank you for your input! I agree that the fitcord bands do a very good job of keeping the resistance as similar as possible through a complete ROM. these particular ones from Valor are also very good if you set up at the appropriate distance. Too far or too close and you will feel the extremes of slack or too much tension. I hope your shoulder rehab is going well and you are back at 💯 soon! 💪🏻
Hey man, just wanted to encourage you and say that I love the quality of your channel. The editing and b-roll is top notch and that stuff does not go unnoticed. Keep it up and would love to see some new videos soon 👊🏻
Thanks for the kind words! I'm working on a couple of different ones right now, so i hope you enjoy those when they drop! Thanks again for what you said. It means a ton to hear other people notice the hard work!
Hi HashBrown, Have you used the Crossover Bands in comparison? I've gone route of "similar" products to the higher priced "original" versions, and came away a little disappointed. I've used both higher priced and cheaper bands for shoulder rehab and the cheaper bands just didn't work out. They were very inconsistent in resistance. I like the Crossover concept, and a more affordable option is always appreciated, but I just want to avoid the "you get what you paid for" situation. In fitness and strength training, I've come to learn you do get what you paid for. Anyway, thanks for your review.
Hey Rob! Thanks for the comment and good question! I have used crossover symmetry (the brand) as well as these valor bands and a third called “fit cord” Fit cord (if they still exist) was the closest in similarity to crossover in tension throughout the movements and specs required According to the valor fitness CEO, The valor bands use a different stretch coefficient to provide a more constant resistance across the movement instead of increasing a bunch at the end range. This means you have to be a little further away from your anchor point as s you need more bands to cover the range of resistance you get from 2 CS branded bands I have thoroughly enjoyed the valor ones as a prehab, rehab tool and still recommend them to my clients to this day if they have the space to use them.
Can one combine more than 1 band for more tension? Has anyone tried? Ofcourse the tension will be different for a 25lbs vs 10lbs band. It won't equal to 35lbs. I just wanted to know if it can be done for chest presses, rows, RDL, etc. Thanks.
“Better” in what way? In price these are “better.” In varied resistance options these are “better.” They even act and feel very similar to crossover symmetry. I will give build quality and feel to crossover. Something about them just works ya know?

Jim I just wanted to revisit this comment to say that I recently purchased the 39” variety of this set and I love it. It fits smaller spaces so well
Pretty informative man! Had no idea about the intricacies of those bands!

Yes absolutely you can. But I wouldn’t say they are great for the RDLs. I have used them for rows doing it that way and it was awesome
can't wait to try them love the video
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I really like my set! Great for warm ups and activation!
Do these come in a set or is just 5 bands?
I think i understand the question.
It’s 5 pairs. So 2 at each resistance level, 10 bands total.
Does that answer what you were asking?
@@JohnTheCoach_ yup exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!!
