DukeBox not sure but I think the nitro hitboxes move when they jump, other than that they are stationary, or maybe I'm wrong and it doesn't, cuz I've died more in the remake by nitrobombs jumping into me than I did in the original.

God I tried playing that recently and the controls were so awful I could barely get past a few levels

nah I wouldn't say twinsanity, Wrath of cortex's only form of challenge was just scattered the level with a fuck load of nitros. Twinsanity's nitros and tnts are just instant kills which aren't as often as WOC.

Dude play Twinsanity again. WOC don't have anything on Twinsanity when it comes to nitros. You're totally getting the two games mixed up when it comes to those crates.
Twinsanity has the most nitros in any game plus they're instant kill unlike WOC & the originals. WOC has just as much nitros as Warped plus you have lots of ways to destroy them via bazooka & Aku Aku unlike Twinsanity.
I don't think there's enough nitro crates and land mines in this level.

This one is actually a great example to use the nitros. Putting them in one of the longest levels, no checkpoints, hazardous placements. Perfect.
This almost has the same amount of nitros as Wrath of Cortex

The use of nitro boxes is not only uninspiring and tedious, spots where using nitro boxes would've actually been interesting (like around the spots where the piranha plants were spitting bullet bombs, meaning you'd have to dodge the bombs and navigate through nitro, or that spot inbetween two shock walls) were left exactly the same. Disappointing to see.

Honestly. It's like the people who make Super Meat Boy levels using only spikes. It's bland and not very fun. "Oh look another spitter plant. How exciting."
Can the game not load all the boxes at once...? It feels like they're blipping in and out of existence in the bonus level.

I must be the only fan of the old games (and N. Sane Trilogy) that doesn't like Twinsanity. Seriously, how can anyone consider it to be the best game in the series?
It always boggles my mind on why the fanbase overrates that average trash while shitting on a game such as WOC that at least plays more like the originals & is actually a finished game unlike Twinsanity. The fans for Twinsanity are toxic as hell like they don't care about it's crappy quality & like to easily say it's the last best crash game.
That's perhaps a little TOO much. I will admit that there is merit to Twinsanity, but I can't call it a good game to save my life. It's just... OK.
Now, Crash: Mind Over Mutant on the other hand... THAT'S a bloody good game that the fanbase just shoves aside.
You're right about one thing, though: retro Crash fans are toxic as all hell. Same applies to retro Spyro fans.
Believe me. I'm in the Skylanders community and I have to put up with these bozos quite a lot.
The designer of this level mod really took inspirations from Twinsanity with all these nitros. All its needed is a nitro detonator switch near every large group of them.
This is just an average difficulty Crash 4 level xD

I like the mod and all but...I can’t help but think that there is a little bit of hypocrisy going on in the crash bandicoot fanbase...
All these walls of nitros that have been appearing in this mod...wasn’t that the BIGGEST complaint that everyone had with wrath of cortex???
The vibe I’m getting here from this mod is, the overuse of nitro crates is uninspired because wrath of cortex did it...but because Crash 2 is doing it then it’s absolutely fine...apparently...
Look...I think wrath of cortex had problems...but I think people need to just let it go...seriously...

I'm honestly not a fan of this mod for that reason. When most of the challenge or difficulty is placed upon just throwing random obstacles in the way to make the game annoying and tedious and not in map layout or enemies, I'm not going to have fun playing it.
No the biggest complaint with Wrath of Cortex was it being too similar to Crash 3. Twinsanity is the game with an abundance of nitros not WOC.
WOC did a great job at preserving Crash 2 & 3's gameplay although it had some flaws that made it slightly worse than them. It's still a very decent crash game.
Imo it's better than Crash 1 since that game had lots of flaws that got completely ironed out in Crash 2 & 3. WOC is like 2 & 3 but slightly worse because of things like the very slow monkey bars parts.
i rate this level 10/10, however is still looks easier to me with many nitro boxes
