Thanks for the video! I would also like to add that Listeriolysin O is an another virulence factor in which it is a secreted pore-forming protein that allows for the escape of L. monocytogenes from phagosomes.

Hey, great work as always. Can you make a video about urine cast? This concept is rarely touched on mainstream materials and your concise style would be a great help. Many questions can be solved with the urinary casts. However many students don't know how to tackle those.

Hey everyone, just a heads up re Listeria foods: pasteurized dairy foods are just as risky for L. monocytogenes as unpasteurized. The Listeria gets into the dairy food AFTER pasteurization. Actually, 3 people just died from L. monocytogenes in milk shakes from pasteurized milk in the USA, smoked salmon/trout has been implicated recently too, and I just published a video about a Listeria outbreak from lettuce too.
