And don’t tell me I’m looking at the past through rose colored glasses. Modern life sucks so bad now that I can honestly say that life really was better back then. I like to think that the past still might exist somewhere in an alternate reality. And if I figure out how to get there, I’m never coming back.

I prefer this version over the older version of the theme song. Here, she puts some emotion into her voice, you'd believe she really was singing about someone she dearly loved "Like he's one of the family."
Man this tugs at the heart strings some kind of different. So many images and emotions flashback for me when watching this and hearing the music + lyrics: decades of memories relived in a matter of seconds through this iconic theme song. Good Times ❤❤❤
