- The recipe I used here is for SIMPLE Pandan Syrup. I need to make them to just give a hint of pandan and not to overpower the base drinks. Hence I am not including blended pandan leaves. Rather, just infusing fresh pandan stalks with my syrup.

SIMPLE PANDAN SYRUP RECIPE
Water 500ml/2 cups
Sugar 500g/2 cups
Fresh Pandan Leaves - a few stalks tied into a knot
SPARKLING LEMON PANDAN RECIPE
Lemon Juice - half a lemon or 5pcs calamansi
Pandan Syrup - 2oz/60ml
Ice
Soda Water to the top
Slice of lemon to garnish
COST ESTIMATES
Water 500ml/2 cups
Sugar 500g/2 cups = THB11 PHP 25 $0.4
Fresh Pandan Leaves - a few stalks tied into a knot = THB3 PHP5 US$0.1
Total Cost THB 14 PHP 30 US$ 0.5
Total Yield = 750ml
COST FOR BOTTLING THE PANDAN SYRUP
Cost of the 750ml bottle = THB 30 PHP50 US$ 1
Total Cost of 750ml Bottle + Syrup = THB 41 PHP75 US$1.5
Average Price of Commercial Pandan Syrup in 750ml bottles = THB135-350
Cost savings = 70-90%
…and you get all natural Pandan Syrup!

Hello, after the pandan syrup cool down, can I store it in a plastic container jar or glass container jar?
When is the best time to add green/ darker green food color? After the syrup is cooling down/ while the syrup is boiling at the last few minutes? Is adding the food color is a good choice/ not? Thanks.

Is sugar syrup sweeter than the pandan syrup? Because we use 2 sugar:1 water for sugar syrup but 2 sugar: 2 water for pandan?
You may use simple sugar syrup 1:1 or in my case - for my sugar syrup I use 2:1 sugar:water.
Can I change the sugar to honey? If so, how much honey should I use?
Hello, I would not recommend 'cooking' the honey. Best to just boil the pandan with water for the flavour and add the honey later.

Can you use frozen pandan leaves?
Should be fine.
I made this with a little bit more pandan leaves for strong flavor/ scent. My final syrup is a little bit lightly green not as clear as yours/ regular or normal syrup. Is that ok?
