great video - thanks I don't know if you know but you can also change where the camera focuses if you long-hold (press) the OK button in aperture mode - the camera shows you all possible focus points and you can select the one you want so if you're aiming at something thats in the top right quadrant of your sensor, you don't have to make it in the center so it catches focus - you can long hold ok and select the focus point thats there
Hello! In MACRO mods of fish dont focus in 1.0x...it comes focus whe you go foward than 1.1x. I have to practice in water Microscope mode, an test if is different to Aperture Mode + AFMACRO set.
Thanks! Have you had the chance to try out the TG-7? If the mikroscope capabilities are better, that would be the only reason for me to get the new model. Currently on the brink where both the tg-6 and 7 are available and I have to decide which to get as a first one. I don't need the other features much, but the macro/underwater is my focus.
I appreciate the video, but I'd disagree with a lot of it. I never use microscope mode. Not enough manual settings. I always use P or A mode. And I get 1cm or closer and can film 2mm critters. I lock the focus box to the center, then set focus lock on the Critter. Then if not focused, I can manual focus when lock is on. That way I can get the face of a 1 or 2mm leaf sheep or skeleton shrimp. Not possible with your method
Great video, thanks!

Thank you very much! Very informative!
Glad it was helpful!
Good video! Thanks
Good tips I just got this camera and still haven’t tried it yet
Yes, I'm aware of this feature! Thank you ! Most of the time I spend trying to figure out how to "unset" it when I accidentially change it ! ;) ;)

THANK YOU for your reply and opinions! We all shot differently and you give us another look at how to get up close and personal with our subjects!
Interesting I will try your approach even if I did not understand everything
There is a super macro option in A mode where we can go extremely close and take shots with high aperture value
Thanks!
Welcome!
