Great video! I've been doing nearly the same rotation for a few months on my Nova. This is the best snake/scorp and red meat bonus there is. Great job explaining it with so much detail. It's not an easy rotation by any means. You do need to be patient. Ty again for sharing. Hopefully now, when I'm not gathering my open order for snake/scorp will get filled now! Lol
1 Freekeh Snake Stew cost to buy is 33k.. The cost of the ingredients is well above 100k.. I cannot see any profit like you mentioned to cook that snake meat into that dish, am I missing something?!.. Same story for the Grilled scorpion.. o.0..
i don't play bdo anymore and don't know how the prices changed, but have you factored in that you get more than 1 cooking product out of each set of ingredients? it makes no sense comparing 100k to 33k, you have to multiply the 33k by how many products you get on average, which depends on your cooking mastery

With loggia TET cooking clothes and cook costume, life stone and life crystal set, value pack, book of old moon and some buffs ect around 1k mastery (intermediate stats) and I literally just got one dish out of one set of those ingredients mentioned.. I`m on EU servers and maybe prices have changed indeed since this video and like many other videos out there, so things like this are even more confusing while the game itself can already be so overwhelming..
bdo pve isn't overwhelming. you play more, you get more stuff. that's all there is to it. sure, you can try to be a bit more efficient than others or be a marketplace tycoon, but if you overdo things, you put in extra effort to play less than others while achieving the same goals, so you lose interest faster than others. bdo is a sandbox game, so sandbox it and don't bother too much about efficiency

gathering: 650 mastery clothes / mastery tool what you're describing is the explanation why SE isn't worth it past >650 mastery (despite what some people believe) cooking: use SE +3 / +4 for everything but handing in imperial boxes. there are exceptional situations where you can use PEN Manos for slow cooking, but they only apply to certain playstyles and aren't recommended for people who don't know what they are doing the video i announced will be about SE vs. PEN Manos slow cooking

shai is very good for gather scorping and snake , have a lot guides in youtube showing how to gather tshira, with all buffs, attack speed in 5 and use the ability sun and moon the shai can gather almost fasther than all classes , just lost to musa... you can gather 700 to 760 mobs in an hour without porks and this is 550 energy per hour, 1750 maestry u can gather 8k snake meat and 3500 scorpion meat
Imo I don't see why I would ever want to gather snake/scorp unless I wanted to use my valencia mats for some reason. You get 50% cooking xp per cook, and it takes 18 valencia meals instead of 24 balenos meals to make a guru crate. But at least for me I'd rather easily gather tons of lamb meat than gather scorpion, snake, lion, and regular meat. The total units of meat on both recipes works out to about 3.5 units per cook but Valencia meals use a lot less milk. But because you have to gather way more types of meat its very impractical for me at least.
@@Penemue I guess if it could be proven that the ratio of time spent gathering vs not gathering (movement/killing) in a rotation was higher than like 12:1 or so, it would be better and faster than lamb meat gathering. Seeing as sheep spawn in large numbers and are so close u can get to the next pack in 2 musa dashes and instantly kill 10 of them while sucking them into melee range. It takes like about 2-3 seconds move between packs and one shot all of them so most of the time is just spent mashing R without need any other considerations.
foxes has similar density for slow-moving classes, wolves and elk have similar density for fast moving or high AOE classes. i'd say just practice other rotations until you get 1900+ gathers per hour, then you'll grow out of goats naturally

Hi there! Really great video, your channels is very helpful for newcomers like me. I have a general question about BDO and lifeskilling tho: lifeskills (cooking, gathering) seems really profitable, I am wondering if at your lvl, grinding mobs is still viable? Or in the end, is lifeskilling always the most silver/h path?
grinding is always viable and there will always be excellent spots to farm. lifeskilling has more ups and downs (manos patch, removal of high-quality wine etc). i originally started lifeskilling because i was at a gear level where my gear was too high for low-level spots and too low for high-level spots. infinite potions were not a thing then and i'd argue that with narchillan gear, "low" gear doesn't exist anymore. anyway, i discovered that i burn out from grinding much faster than from lifeskilling. i make most of my money from lifeskilling because i can keep it up for longer sessions. you shouldn't base your decision whether to grind, lifeskill or both on silver per hour. ask yourself what you can keep up for 1000+ hours and go with that. 10mil / hour more won't help you if you quit 150 hours into the journey towards endgame gear.

Personally I wouldn’t choose my character based on lifeskilling (I actually lifeskill to keep up with the combat gear progression without burning out). But if you really want to do it, go with Musa

You got it backwards 😊 I’m planning to make a guide on why you would sometimes slow-cook. A guide on why to fast-cook isn’t necessary because it’s the standard choice to max out silver / hour

Fast cooking lets u more efficiently utilize buffs that are expensive and short, also the +4 outfit gives another 25% xp. So if you aren't going to run expensive/rare buffs like Thanksgiving Turkey, or GM blessing then u can slow-cook with max mastery at least on the bottleneck dishes that use a lot of meat so u can cook more of the final product at high speed for more exp.
You can either wait your turn/swap like majority of life skill community still does. Or You can grief and get kicked from Your guild faster than You can spell "sorry". I am actually completely stumped a Clarity player of all people is advising griefing on lifeskill spots on people with gathering gear who can't defend themselves.
@@Penemue dfs for gathering spot is not a thing. What froopy land do you live on. Half the liveskillers walk around with oasis or none at all. What do You want to dfs with manos hoes and gervish crystals? Asking for dfs on gathering spot will just get you laughed at and declared on. Stop advocating for horrible behavior. What works for grinders doesn't work for lifeskillers and if You ever fight on a gathering spot Your guild will be declared on and You will get kicked. Unless You're from Clarity apparently and have triple digit billion capitol. No joke I thought Clarity of all guilds will kick You in millisecond for grefing like this, apparently not.

After a few videos I gave up and decided it was too complicated for someone as new as me on the game to understand it, and went back to just gathering red meat. Today RUclips recommended me this video and I gotta say, yours did the job and I've already spent a couple hours there gathering. So I wanted to come back and thank you for making this video!

Uh lamb meat is really inefficient to gather. Definitely the worst red meat in the game
@@Penemue Well yea, it rolls 1-4 instead of 2-4 like wolf meat. But I can gather it the fastest with the least attention, so thats what works for me.

I always cooked Valencia meals and sold excess meals on the marketplace (with a few days of imperial handguns prepared ahead in storage)
How much snake meat do you need to be cooking the stew for 1hr? And how much snake meat do you roughly get at 1450 mastery, gathering for 1hr?

alt + c was the short answer. the long answer: swap until you can't anymore, call "dfs", only alt + c when the other person refuses to duel, etc.
