Righteousness by faith is believing that the word of God will do what it says it will do and depending on the word of God to do what is says it will do. 🙏🏽
Powerful law of liberty under the control of God is i choose him n he is a kind master .i was getting discouraged of i became a slave to God and he controls me and i csnt keep up with his requirements and i feel condemned n sinful to him.
Righteousness by Faith! A topic I've been wishing to hear about. I'm thankful for that wish being granted, and for such well presentation that you three (my brothers and sister) have done. God bless you all! 🙏
The greatest error in the SDA is made by those who make our sanctification the basis for our justification. They do this for various reasons: Suffice to say that we all have much to learn and much to unlearn.
While justification by faith is the very foundation of the gospel, sanctification is very much just as important in the plan of salvation. Yes, I can very much claim salvation by repenting, confessing, and sincerely asking Jesus to be Lord of my life. However, salvation is not a moment in time. Salvation is not a one-time thing. Salvation is a daily, moment-by-moment surrendering of self to God. Hence why Paul said “I die daily.” (1 Corinthians 15:31) Justification reconnects what was severed between us and God. Sanctification is the refining process that prepares us to dwell in His presence. You cannot have one without the other. A salvation by justification alone is that of the false evangelical gospel which requires no Christian character development. The Bible is flooded with texts that clearly communicate sanctification as a necessary element of our Christian experience. (Acts 26:18; 1 Thess. 4:3-8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Thess. 2:13; John 17:17; 1 Corinthians 15:31) This is not works or legalism. Sanctification is the results of justification. When one finds sanctification to be non-essential to salvation, then one does not fully comprehend the gift of justification. Grace is not cheap. It cost the Savior His life. The natural response of any Christian engaged in a saving relationship with Christ will be “Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine.” (Steps to Christ Pg. 70) So, in conclusion, one cannot be justified by the blood of Christ while rejecting the work of sanctification that the Holy Spirit endeavors to complete within us. Salvation is conditional, and calls for our complete surrender of will to God on a daily basis.
@@3abn I agree - whosoever God justifies He sanctifies. Justification comes first, sanctification (submission to God; keeping God's commandments; loving God and neighbor, which are all the same) follows neccesarilly. Justification is the basis for sanctification, to turn it around is not Biblical but demonic.
@@JC-mr5ec You are correct.Salvation is by faith that causes justification, then a justified man is sanctified by the renewal of the mind to follow love.

The reason for that error is because the SDA early in its existence moved away from the doctrine of sola scriptura.
