Dont the 540d do a 4.8?

Stage 1 maybe. Stock the 540d needs around 5.4s and the A6 50TDI 5.5s
We were around 0.3s slower, which is ok I think

The 540d does a 4.7 in the g30 generation (At least what I found in some tests)

Yes, that's right. But the 540d G30 is comparable with the A6 allroad 55TDI or the S6
In G30 generation the A6 50TDI was equal to the 530d which also has a 3L, 286HP engine

My 430d G22 cover 0-100 Km/h 4.58 sec measured with Torque GPS.
It has the same 286 hp and is fat as hell.
Definetly not impressed.

I have a VW Troc R and it does the 0-100 in about 4.6 with launch control
