Claire J Baker features at Rivertown Poets - July 1, 2024

Claire J. Baker, an elder poet, has had over 5,000 poems printed to date and has written several chapbooks. She writes free verse, formal poetry, and poems with lighter approaches. Among her award highlights are winning six Grand Prize performances with the Dancing Poetry Festival. While serving on the venerable Ina Coolbrith Poetry Circle Board, she secured permanent shelving for members' poetry books in the Special Collections Section of the California State Library in Sacramento. Claire believes poetry has the power to heal. Ms. Baker plans to present a retrospective of her work, extending a warm invitation for you to join her.
