I just finished watching the Netflix series. It was great. Coltons smile now is absolutely contagious, its so lovely to see. Good for him. Got to be true to you always.
Didn’t know who he was until I watch his show tonight on Netflix. Now seeing this interview / his confidence has definitely risen !! So proud of him. / good for you Colton !!
I’m very happy for you Colton. You are a brave soul and I’m positive I’m not the only one who sees what a wonderful person you are! It truly doesn’t matter who you love or are comfortable picking as a partner for your own life. That’s none of anyone’s business. Your a great person, gay, straight, bi, it doesn’t matter. Anyone that claims it does is ignorant. I’m a straight female. (Doesn’t matter)! It just one human commending you for trying to be a good person. Nobody is perfect!
He is a beautiful person inside and out, you cant help but love this guy. I love that he holds his faith. So glad he didn’t succeed in hurting himself. Love that he loves animals as well
Interviews like this can be deceiving. He lied to a lot of women, stalked Cassie Randolph when they were breaking up, put a hidden tracking device on her car, showed up in an ally outside her house after dark, sent her creepy messages from a burner phone. She was granted a restraining order against him. Just saying there’s a lot you don’t learn about people on “reality” tv. This guy knows how to spin things to make himself look good.

@@embeth446 just about every post on this video is either congratulating him or words of encouragement. I don't see where you got "hero" from? Secondly, to come out to the public the way he did is owning up to the things he's done in the past. I understand they don't make things right but it is a step forward. Most people would have just walked away, swept it under the rug or committed suicide. You would only understand the mental anguish he was facing if you were 1) gay and 2) raised in a Christian home.
@@GUYIN89011 I have never denied his mental anguish, and I’m absolutely certain it was a factor in his abusive behavior. However I was responding specifically to the comments that he’s a beautiful person inside and out and how he loves animals and oh what a wonderful human. I think that’s a misinformed sentiment. The truth is he’s a gay man who’s been through something very scary. He came out which required bravery and will probably help a lot of people. He’s also been toxic, attention seeking and untruthful about the extent of what he did. All these things can be true at once. And unfortunately what has gotten lost in all this is the woman he terrorized. He was able to conveniently sweep the abuse of his former partner under the rug. Now he’s profiting from this, going on his FOURTH reality tv series and no, he hasn’t publicly acknowledged the full extent of what he did. So when people carry on about what a beautiful person he is it doesn’t sit well with me. Sorry.
If you've been in this position, you'll understand the pain, confusion and turmoil that is your life. If you haven't, thank God everyday that you don't.

Colton I just watched your show o. Netflix. So proud of you and your struggles and strength. I have been in a relationship for 40 years and finally getting married to my partner. You will have a great life in front of you. Your family is amazing and Gus is a great friend to you. BRAVO

Thinking back, it seems that we made progress, just not enough.
Almost 30 years and this is still a big deal issue.
Even though his coming out story isn't like a lot of ours it was still wholesome and gratifying to be allowed to see his journey and I'm thankful he included us on that. He may have a messy past but he's not an evil guy. It truly is as real as it could be. Like he said, all there is now it the prove people like me right and the people who don't believe (in) him wrong.
A lot of times privilege is looked at as an evil thing but I'm happy he has his privilege and recognizes how lucky he is for that. I'm excited and hopeful for what he uses that for in the future.

I don’t understand why people are attacking him. He was completely honest and did not attempt to make any excuses for what he had done and it was a very true and honest look at what some gay men go through coming out. To be honest I’m so tired of people that have no morals at all passing judgement on other for some kind of false purity test that shows no compassion for people or forgiveness. To error is human to forgive is Devine. One bad moment in your life does not define who you are as a person he owned it, has never shied away from it or excused it. Now why can’t people just forgive? In the end it’s between him and the person he hurt she will either except his attempts to atone or she won’t but they both have a right to move with there lives. I remember going through something Similar and I remember my mom saying to me you just need to get on with it best advise I’d ever gotten in my life.

It may not make since to a lot of people but he wanted so badly to be straight but his reality of who he was and what he wanted to be were colliding. The lost of his since of control over something that he just couldn’t control anymore made him desperate so in that desperation he was trying to exert control over her because in his mind if she left him he would be forced to face who he really was so he did things that were just not him. I admire the fact that he says that and does not try to excuse it. In the end it’s between him and her. She has every right not to forgive him if she chooses I think he is just trying to atone. Personally I think it would be good for them both if she did forgive him but again that is something that only she can decide

He's adorable. I loved the Coming Out Colton show. I recommend any of his haters watch it. Many gay men marry in order to try to be straight. So the haters need to lay off him for going on the Bachelor. If you haven't gone through the experience of being in the closet, then you can't judge. Even though he nobly says there are no excuses for how he behaved with Cassie, I'd say the struggle he was in is absolutely an excuse (or at least a reason). I don't understand why Cassie has said she doesn't want him to ever talk about what happened. But it was HIS experience too. He's allowed to talk about his life. He gets to have some control over his own narrative. I hope she watches the show so she can understand what happened for her own sake. It could help her heal too. Staying bitter isn't helpful. His struggle was so real and he should be applauded for what he's done since. His story will help many others like him. Kudos you him!!

I'm proud of my self being open being gay since I was young and coming out to my Brother and Parents in my mid 20s they still find it difficult but I'm so happy for you that your family are there for you and know you are an amazing person and touched our heart and love you so much
Super enjoyed his show and being an Ally and having gay relatives who never had to come out because we all just knew it and didn't care, I hope to see the day where no one needs to come out because people just know, as was my experience with the gay people I know and grew up with.

I started out hate--watching his show but then I got so involved...now I'm proud for him.
Im watching Colton coming out on Netflix. I think its wonderful that he is doing this for himself. No longer having to be in shackles anymore. I noticed many things during his documentary.. The one that stands out the most is... Where is his apology to his HS girlfriend after he broke up with her for being sexual. All these years she had no idea the real reason he broke up with her, his own inner demands and took it out on her. At some point Colton, there are amends you must make yourself to people you have hurt. Even from the Bachelor show, the final 4 women and the one he chose. Come out and make an apology for those who have been hurt by you. Heck even me, the viewer of Bachelor, I too have been deceived by you. Yes their are legit reasons but, still the audience still should receive an apology. That would be the right thing to do. Happy for you!! Until he apologizes to many including me,audience, Cassie, final 4, HS girlfriend and others. He will still be a privileged white lying male who has dooped us all.
No one knows who broke up with whom, and they reached a private agreement to not talk about it in public again for Cassie to drop the restraining order. So he can't say anything even if he wants to apologize.
He did apologize to other women on bachelor many times.

I felt he was gay from day one I saw him! I said it to many back then. He knew what he was long before Bachelor/Bachelorette! He used the opportunity to be in the spotlight.. had it have been Gay Bachelor.. I guarantee he'd have been on that day one!
You became an imposter at the age of 6 - what choice did you have? Then you wanted the world, and young women, to collude with you in keeping the lie going. You got a lot of rewards. He did. I just finished the show and he takes full accountability for his actions towards Cassie, he goes into depth explaining what he did was wrong. I can tell he is sincere.
So, go back in your closet! People like you will never understand what a gay man or lesbian go through.

I appreciate his story and am not knocking it but I lived the same and worse which lead me to join the army then dropping out of college then suicide then drugs .....30 now I have accepted myself and am raising 3 beautiful kids. It's not a new story except for the bachelor part.

Why is he saying he was told who he was on the Batchelor? He knew the Batchelor and Batchelor/Bachelorette is trying to find a a partner "Tarzan and Jane" he went on the show to collect the money for the lead. He just can't stay away from the camera.
Well, he has a charity to maintain, so the media presence is kind of expected. And, believe it or not, his coming out miniseries is actually sincere and good support for many gay people in the world who still struggle.

In my opinion, being gay is not a sin by itself whenever it is treated by psychologists or somebody who can help you to manage your emotions, but what is it sin is to live your sexual life as a gay in bed with another partner and move with it as a habit, for me you will not be happier if you are crossing the border with what GOD prohibited and forbidden, you can't change God creation he created us as male and female it's the fact of creation. He's a celebrity who's been on the bachelor dating many women, if he suddenly started dating a man you really think no one would question that? He is not being needy. He is just trying to live a NORMAL life. It’s not easy being gay. I just came out to my family this year and I’m 49. It’s very hard to be surrounded by close friends who got married and have kids. You have to make excuses why you aren’t dating and lie all the time. It’s HELL being in the closet. My best friend is also my boss. We hung out all the time. I was afraid if I told him the truth that I might lose my job and my best friend. It sucks living your life in private. Luckily I came out to him and other close friends 10 years ago and things haven’t changed and they still love me. I hope none of your friends or family are ever hiding a lie like this from you because I doubt you will be understanding. Hopefully, you will change your mind.

Why do people act like what Colton did was okay? He lied to dozens of women and they put their lives on hold to fall in love only to not know he's gay! There's nothing wrong with being gay but what he did on the bachelor franchise was just plain wrong.

He was struggling with his own sexuality at the time and doing the bachelor was his way of trying to convince everyone and himself that he is straight. He even said himself that what he did was wrong. I don't think anybody is saying what he did was okay, people are just being supportive that's all.
