They guy complains about too many people in the pool but brings Bob and 1000s of his viewers. And 3 boats on that pool is not bad. We had 40 trucks around that one pool opening day.
Not going to lie it was tough hearing about Jack lost my hunting partner a little over a year ago and I keep his collar and last tag in my blind bag so that he is always there. Great friends they are and would do anything to make their owner happy. I hope Larry and Jack get several hunts together. Keep up the great work man.
Yea jbh. Still cry when I think about Rex. Yellow lab.
I don't bird dog, but I run rabbits with beagles. I just lost one a few months ago too, found his last tag and collar while we were moving to our new house and man it hurt. Good memories with him, but I miss him like crazy. I don't think anyone understands what it's like to lose a hunting dog until it's happened to them. It hits you.
Sitting in the tree stand now watching with sub titles hahaha keep it going my man
Same lmao. Good luck brotha!
I was watching vids from the duck blind yesterday 😂
I do this all the time lol!
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Did you see the 8 ptr?
Makes me happy to see an old dog getting out there and doing what he loves!
Glad we got to meet jack. Hunting dogs are amazing partners.
Moral of the story... get to your bird as quickly as possible instead of chatting with the camera. Mark it, chase it, and keep your eyes open. Don’t drink a cup of coffee and hope it doesn’t move.
Or shoot it twice so it’s dead dead
Or shoot birds that are in the decoys instead of educating every bird because you’re making 50+ yard shots
@@kyleparker8378 that too 😂
Exactly
Thank You Jack and his story!!!!!!!
Love seeing an old dog doing what he does, I lost my beagle and son of 12 years a year ago, thinking about getting a lab now
“It’s public land…gotta take what we can get”. That ideology is EXACTLY what’s wrong with public land hunting.
Welcome to the real world Bobby! Not everyone has the luxury of hunting private unless you can pay for it.
Keep up the content
My boys and I hunt public ground almost entirely. Losing birds happens more than I care to admit but a technique I use to find them does work well in cover like you were hunting. When you mark the bird(try to pick something as a landmark to go to as it will look entirely different when you get to the spot, I usually pick a tall weed or different colored weed, perhaps an empty hull nearby, almost anything can work), Go immediately to where you mark the bird, stand right where you think it dropped and the start walking in circles gradually spiraling outward. Walk in tight spirals so you have a better chance of contacting the bird if it has latched onto underwater vegetation all the while paying attention outside of your spirals as often the bird will swim underwater a ways then surface 20 to 40 yards away. Lastly, Always take your gun even if you're sure it's dead. Like you, I hate losing birds even though nature lets nothing go to waste. I know I have irritated more than a few nearby hunters in this process but making a substantial effort to find and retrieve birds is part of being an ethical hunter and finding all your birds, leaving no cripples behind, is a much more satisfying hunt at the end of the day. Good Luck fellow duck hunters!
Bring an old army compass and mark the azimuth to the down bird. Unless they crawl off, we find them all, except when a BRAVE Yote snuck in and grabbed one. Too far for steel shot!
What a beautiful area my dude. Hunt here north of Omaha a ways, along the river, and can only imagine how LIT it would be at a public marsh like that with all those people! Also, always appreciate the preaching pick up your stuff. Big peve of mine.
SBB, sky bustin Bobby back at it again
Thank you for the public land check in thing. I didn't know about that.
My fiancee and I had 3 groups within 100 yards. One group parked there boat within 50 yards of our decoys and all 3 groups sky blasted at everything only had a couple ducks decoy. I was there at 2 am and everyone else came out after 330am. No hunter etiquette anymore sadly.
Yeah, but BG says more hunters makes the bottoms better. And "you've gotta take the shots they give ya cuz it's public"
It's easy to fix the problem with the boat you take a couple of bales of hay and make a couple of different areas that look like structures and then spread the hay out throughout behind and beside your boat it is an amazing way to hunt
I had a Hen Mallard dive on me the other day, I was walking back along the dike with my gun in the case and in the jet sled just for her to quack right next to me and dive back down right in front of me. Never felt more defeated haha!
Good to see Bob cutting it up on some public land for ducks.
There is a beautiful front, a great environment, a wonderful hunting experience
Finally a longer vid👏🏼
Good evening, Bobby and the gang, public land, you don't know how lucky you are, Bobby. A good few laughs on it Bobby, that helps it go along! You're words were spot on about ducks diving - when they dive you've no idea where they are going to come up they can go a long way! Jack the dog didn't look twelve years old, but he did well after having some of his spleen removed. As you said Bobby, it was probably his last season. We retired Amber at twelve but sadly, we lost her last week. All the time Malc and I were shooting with her, she only ever broke twice. She was one hell of a dog and sadly missed. She has left a big hole in our lives! Enjoy your next trip for mallards. Malc and Ann (England) UK xx
Look at all those white hulls. Cmon guys pickup your hulls. Leave it better than you found it. *casually drives away
Well dang! A yt hunt that actually depicts what real public fowling is like 👌🏼 great stuff Bobby, love the commitment to finding downed birds
Recently had a terrible public hunt recently. Group of hunters liked to sky bust and scare all the birds away. All while hailing on other hunters. Unbelievably oblivious and irresponsible.
The same thing happened to me this weekend. It's so sad and ridiculous!
Pub sucks.
The Best trio!!!!
This big tums UP is for Jack
Bob I want to see more sheet water duck and goose hunts. Also my brother has bought 30 or 40 dux hoodies keep it I love you and Fred.
Good vid, sorry it was as crowded around you guys. Yeah I also hate it when ducks dive on me too
For jack the legend
Sounds like the forth of July on that water
we have a private lake that we hunt on our land and its 30ft deep all around and we have to retrieve birds with a boat every time and sometimes we miss out on birds because they see the boat
Man that's the worst... mallards are so hard to find if they don't die 100 percent.
There’s always that guy who could’ve done it better!!
Love the duck hunting videos
Good ol bob bein loud as usual. Haha
I've also had really good luck just standing in cattails no decoys
Long live Jack gotta love the Ole hunting dogs.
indeed
Do a review on the sbe3 after this season
will do
Freaking slaying out here
You should make a taxidermy video
Awesome...say hi to Larry and Mike
Hi just bought ur dux T-shirt of the month
Hi just bought ur dux T-shirt of the month
There’s gotta be a better way to deploy and retrieve the decoys. 😂
I've always had luck looking for loose feathers, I start from there, and I also look for bubbles and ripples.
I gotta pair of those waders and their awesome. Little warm in the early season.
Good job JACK👍 SHOOTUMM LARRY🦆🤣👍
No wonder the birds aren't finishing. That blind sticks out like a 10 inch pecker in a 4 inch pickle jar
That boat sticks out bad you guys live tummabe alley put them on your boat take of shining fake corn stakes or painty
You see empty hulls floating, then lecture your views on picking up their shells…. Then quite literally say “leave it better than you found it”, as you motor by the shells without picking them up yourself.
Love the bottoms, just nothing like it. Seems to be more ducks here after the cold front.
How are the numbers at the bottoms now?
Trr

Thumps up for Jack
I like the public land hunts Bobby. From SE Wisconsin brother.
Yeah it happens we get a lot of Ringnecks and I have had a few Dive on me .
great video mate
Last year we hunted public with two game and fish and I was calling the shot. One of the game and fish said alright its shooting light and I looked at my watch 5 mins till two gads decoyed perfect and I didnt call it. When asked why said we still have 5min boys. He said o shit your rite..lol
Ciao Bobby...which choke is using?grazie dall!Italia!
The clipped/crippled birds is why I sold my SBE3. From the beginning the SBE3 was crippling everything from doves, ducks, and even rabbits. Took my old 70+ year old Ithaca model 37 out and it slayed everything I pointed at. Goes to show more expensive doesn’t mean jack!
Maybe it wasn’t the tool. just the person using it? 💀
@@austinmiller7921 oh it very well could have been! However, I’ve patterned it a ton and found out that the POI is way off, as research has shown that SBE3s have that common issue due to its jellyfish-like stock and European style of shooting. I changed shims, ammo, chokes...nothing! I sold the gun and happy I did! Everyone’s got a certain gun fit I guess!
@@littlemanoutdoors_968 it's not a European style of hunting I like guns that are near 50/50
@@browningmaxus5360 me too. I think that was my beef with the SBE3. It’s a good quality gun, but Benelli has some kinks to work out still!
@@littlemanoutdoors_968 I shoot the maxus no problems and patterns lovely looked at benelli fired a few just didn't like them
Complains about skybusting while skybusting birds........
Bobby, you’re right it’s the boat. It is out of place and angular. If nothing else pull the native weeds to fluff up the edges and angles. Better, park the boat 200 yards away
Our cold warning was Friday and it was 21°
Public land in SW LA with 7 foot tall grass, shot 12 found 7. It’s the worst man.
Friend of mine and I found a banded snow dead in the marsh once!
Just bought a gheenoe with a mudskipper twister just for hunts like this on public land … those public ducks know to stay away from any large structure on the water or off the water !!
call does not work in heavy hunt area, being silent can work
All the “sky busters” killed a limit btw
At least you have walkable public land. Ours is so deep if you walk on it you might never come back. Losing birds is always tough just gotta keep shooting.
What choke do u use and what shells/size
Story of my life. Birds down and can’t find em.
Hate when they dive Bob.
it sucks
The best bro 💯❤️💯
what do you mean about checking in
Bob, did you grab those white shell cases? You saw em and carried on....? Leave no trace. Love the content.
we grabbed as many as we saw yes
Them sky busters are hunting for pictures.
Good ol’ Jack 👍
Just cuz they’re shooting a lot doesn’t mean you can just claim they’re skybusting as a “guess.” Kind of sounds like jealousy
Is the one guy hunting with a ol original sbe1 ?
Hey! What camera do you use on your gun ??? Looking to get one for myself…
Do a cooking video, I want to see how you cook em
Bob where is all the Peeeaaaaccceeeee on the exit?
A 100 years ain’t bad try 30 yards and 4 groups on a 5/7 acre pond 😂😂🤣
when are you guna post other magnet video i’m waiting!!!
😂 a garlic wreath
Do you normally use your drake call
Losing a bird that you killed is the worst experience ever while duck hunting. But it happens, you put the full effort In looking for em Bobby.
Bobby!!!!!
Went Duck hunting for my very first time ever Saturday... Shot a mallard hen first thing in the morning at like 50 yards! Then I ripped my 6 week old waders on a stick underwater and never found my duck... Apparently she had some life left in her and she dove under some floating vegetation. Ruined my phone two.... Just a great first ever hunt.
I'ma stick to deer hunting if I can't find a partner to hunt with....
When asking a land owner for permission and the OnX address is a PO. box do send a letter?
Go ask a neighbor how to contact them

I have had more teal then big ducks dive
You should have Fred with you bob , l feel bad for the old dog but Fred would have been on those birds a lot quicker.
Heac yea I use zip ties and have hunted with people and they cut your line trying to it the zip ties off and all kinds of stuff then they lous your led that’s all money
