Helluva drive. My 87 MJ metric tonne Dana 44 rear is under upgrade project. We live above the snowline in the NE Washington mountains HighLands and trail up to our cabin is much like this trail. In the winter it can get pretty hairy in deep snow on ice. First leg from the bottom up we climb 1840 ft elevation in the first 3/4 mile to our middle gate and the last 3/4 mile only 400 ft more elevation but it is lots of boulders and spring melt gullies. A real bitch in deep snow on ice. Ive got a Taco on 6" lift running 36" SuperSwamper I Roks. Its a little mountain goat. Running 456 gears with Spartan lockers front and rear. Sliders and full belly armor. Arr Arr😅 Dandahermit
I went through the Alder Loop Trail today in my bone stock LX470. Made it about half way and got scared and turned around. Ended up with a couple of paint scuffs and a new dent.
Are these trails busy enough if I get stuck someone would likely help pull me out before too long? Also if I dont mind some body damage could a fullsize chevy short bed pickup fit? I'm told its tight but your videos make it look do-able
Definitely busy enough during the weekend, but it really depends on the time of year. I would recommend not going alone. Having your own recovery gear is necessary, winch, tow straps ext.. A full size might make it through but it is tight depending on what trail your on.
Just found your vids. I like the riding videos and some other good info to. I have a yj. I post my riding videos just to save them really but check em out if you get time. All we have is mud here
Major respect to the driver for taking the Cherokee XJ where most vehicles wouldn't dare to go

rocks and mud great fun .tnt no breaks
You guys look like you're having fun. What tire pressure do you run?

Interested in which range you’re using on the lumpy muddy sections. Are you in 4W Low or Full 4W.
