The beginning part in this mission gives me chills, just like price said, the Russians think that their enemy is a larger force than it really is, when they start to open fire the Russians are clearly getting massacred and are audibly terrified. The audio in this game is astonishing, both remastered, and original. Wether you're a COD fan or not, Battlefield 1 has some extremely beautiful (and horrifying), audio as well.
A little word of advice on this mission from an old hand at this game. If you go up to the church bell tower at the start of the mission instead of taking up a position on the embankment, you can not only replace your LMG with an RPG which is useful when you arrive at the farm and allows you to shoot down some of the hinds dropping off enemy troops, but you also get hit a lot less.

I love how the CH-46 can't land on the farm because of the "SAM in the mountains", but the AV-8B Harrier II from the attack can literally fly into the mountain.
At the beginning of the level, you should go to the clock tower, where there are a lot of RPGs and a wide view. And also facilitate the subsequent evacuation
I go to the up the ladder there as well mainly because got a better vantage point plus there's less chance of the opponents noticing and getting struck when using the cover there
I would highly recommend when playing on veteran mode Obviously look down the scope on the m4 when the trucks are behind but, When the opponents army trucks go to the side use the firing from the hip technical and when re loading the supplied weapon simply crouch. At the end I usually use captain bully as cover. The tactics make it heaps easier especially when playing the last stage on veteran mode
So glad that the one they chose to remaster was the best in the franchise. Not saying much but still out of a franchise full of just average games this is the one that for me was above average so I'm glad they did this.

Why were some enemies just standing and watching you on veteran? Seems a bit suspicious to me. That weird javelin swap in the barn looked a bit edited. But i trust you because i havent had this npc luck.
Obviously it's not set on veteran mode I've played heaps of times on veteran mission selection process more than from start to finishing the game up and this stage is mega hard on veteran mode though, what helps heaps especially against the enemy militia soldiers nearby the fields is the friendly attack planes ✈
