It’s been three years since Sheikh Fahd al-Qadi died in Saudi prison due to medical negligence by the authorities.
Sheikh al-Qadi was arrested in 2016 because of a private letter of advice he sent to the Saudi Royal Court in which he described violations committed by the Ministry of Education.
He was known for his work with the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
He was sent to prison because he advised the ruler PRIVATELY! What will Madkhalis say next? Advise the rulers in your hearts? 🤔

Madkhali's and many others on the same agenda like to celebrate that the Syrians, Egyptians, etc are subjugated even when they rise up and use these exact same examples because they are proven subjects of those who pay them. That is not a reason not to rise against tyranny and oppression and at least say something against it.
Besides not everyone is able to fight due to age, health etc.

I just wanted to add a bit more context to what happened to brother Daniel.
Shaykh Karim Abu Zaid wasn’t trying to interrogate him, he just wanted to clear his name because the Shaykh was getting a lot of messages saying you shouldn’t invite Daniel to the conference.
He made him say those things publicly to remove any doubt from the people that were excusing brother Daniel.
In regards to the conversation with Shaykh Uthman, I agree it should of been done privately.
May Allah forgive our shortcomings and unite us.
May Allah strengthen us against the enemies of Islam.

One more thing about the hadeeth which instructs ruler be given advise privately, most of the scholars see the narration as da'eef but Sheikh Al-Albaani has authenticated the hadeeth by way of Shawahid. Still it does not take away from your argument. Because their claim of Ijmaa' is not established, and the explicit hadeeth (this hadeeth) they put forth is also disputed. Even under the pretext that the hadeeth is authentic, many Ulema has seen the hadeeth as a higher level of doing Amr bil Mauroof and Nahyu an Munkar where you are able to do Inkaar personally to him and it does not negate the Public Inkaar of rulers. I bring it out because they will try contesting you in that regard.
Proof goes far. It puts matters on clarity.

I have always argued that rebellion was the majority opinion of the salaf. These pseudo salafis critizise Shia for adding Ali is the wali of Allah to the kalimah but they are happy to add bootlicking (obey the tyrant to their kalimah). Soon, even during the Azan, bootlicking will be added to the kalimah.
