    Now we see why Chen has been so tolerant of her husband's infidelity.

      She had an affair with him while he was married and divorced his first wife for her. She knows all about infidelity, being a full participant and all

    • @theninjacat7200
      @theninjacat7200 6 лет назад +4

      Sorry, your argument is flawed. If anything, her family's heritage is the reason to run the opposite way. Her grandfather married multiple times. He caused pain to his first wife who saw 'wife number 2, wife number 3, etc come through the door'. If anything, she would and should have the fire and courage to walk away and say 'I deserve better than this'. I don't participate in polygamy'. It's one thing if the husband cheats and you don't know. It's another if he cheats and you find out - AND DECIDE TO STAY. Let's see if Julie leaves (after the dust settles).

      Namaste Peace,you know when I typed in his name it says that he divorce his first wife in 2004. And he married Julie Chen in 2004 hmmmm😲

      Julie Chen and Les Moonves had an open affair during his marriage to his wife of 27 years. Once he divorced his former wife who he has 3 children with, he married Julie Chen 2 weeks later.

    • @xtremelybland4436
      @xtremelybland4436 6 лет назад +1

      Umm..actually that would cause her to be more tolerate of the behavior because she saw that her grandmother tolerated it.
      If her grandmother had ran away and got divorced and taught her this behavior is sexist and wrong then yes I could see her saying this is not ok.
      But no her grandmother stayed in the situation and tolerated it which teaches women to tolerate men's abuse, stand by him and suffer in silence.

      I know, right? She had an affair with Moonves while he was married. He divorced his then wife of 24 years, married Julie within 2 months of the divorce. She has since gone up in the ranks at CBS, having shows, despite being so dull and boring in front of the camera. She also allegedly reminds those who don't bow down to her with that "do you know who I'm married to?" line.

    Julie Chen is one classy and beautiful lady. It's brave of her to share her family history of which she had no control. She should have never felt that she needed to hide this part of her life. I hope she returns to The Talk.

    Julie has just so many secrets. Descended from a narcissist of that level is something else, she has sure pushed forward from her roots. It's remarkable in a one child country, it's like her grandfather inspired the law.

    • @theninjacat7200
      @theninjacat7200 6 лет назад +5

      does it? I'm not trying to be funny but does it? her grandfather caused her family so much pain...if anything, wouldn't she do the opposite by leaving her husband instead of staying with him? she may still love her husband or even more, she's got to honor a pre-nuptial agreement. Do you think the wealthy stay wealthy by leaving one another when the marriage is in jeopardy because of infidelity allegations? Maybe she wants to leave and she has to wait 'until the dust settles'.

      So he married Julie because she wasnt jealous of his affairs?
      Interesting. The fact that her grandfather was a polygamist and had mistresses explains a lot in her accepting this. It's still wrong but it explains a lot.

      I have mixed feelings that I am trying to process...why does SHE feel so much pain? Julie was not a polygamist. Was it the fact that he wasn't present in the household or neglected Julie's branch of the. Was it the fact that there were so many kids?Not sure how to process this or why it was so important for her to tell. Clearly, the grandfather had an issue. He grew up dirt poor and lacked responsibility...what was in him that had the desire to create so many kids?

It's interesting, but my heart breaks for you're grandmother. Julie thank you for sharing. I got my eyes done, my eyes were almost closed the older I got, everyone thought I was chinese, I was American/ hispanic/german. I'm glad I got it done, and you are absolutely beautiful.

Both my parents were violently abusive and I grew up in a cult! That's no fucking secret, it's the truth. I'm not ashamed of it, because at no point did I do anything remotely shameful. Why are you so ashamed of your Grandfather's life? It's not your life!

    Most marriages in the bible were men with more than one marriage covenant. IT MIGHT BE SIMPLY BECAUSE GOD NEVER OUTLAWED IT. A marriage covenant is between God man and woman. But how many marriages covenants a man could have was never limited by God in any law or commandment. Across the world for thousands of years men had multiple women that they dealt with. Some men were transparent that they held a commitment to multiple wives other men abandoned women after sex. This might be how her family turned out to be this way. According to the most influential book on life in the world, the bible, a king of Isreal couldn't multiply wives and a Bishop or leader of the church was to have 1 wife. Those positions came with great responsibility over all of Isreal. But the common man or a wealthy man had no commands from God to limit his # of marriage covenants to only 1. This left the choice up to men on how many marriages they could handle.
