Geez...What a shallow and vague interview! every time the reporter asked a genuine question she kept saying that's not what we're here to talk about when it is obviously what people want to know. How did she manage to stay with this man... believe him and/or forgive him? Or maybe she had to forgive the public and the women who accused her husband ...? That is where she could have shared about her supposed journey with God and how God helped her to do that. BUT Clearly she's there to sell a book because she kept wanting to go back to the topic of the book. That is not how a Christian operates!! A newly born again Christian mentions the word sin and how we are all sinners and we all deserve forgiveness and she would have put herself in that category and included her husband but instead she's in such denial. You don't just find God to help you sell a book Julie! People can find peace in many other ways and that is not the Biblical reason for accepting Christ.. I can't believe she sat there with a serious face and tried to deny the me too movement and pretend that her husband was not a part of that. Just because she is able to live with what happened in her public life and to somehow choose to believe that her husband is innocent doesn't mean she knows God... she could also be smoking something that makes her relax she could also be taking meds!! Some people can create a sense of Peace just by believing an outright lie as long as they believe it strongly enough. For her to try and sell God as an antidote to her crazy private life is wrong! What a shame and a wasted interview..Smh.

Your points are valid. Two things came to mind however. The alleged activities of her husband occurred before they got together; her response would have looked different if he was doing those things while married to Chen. Second, there could be legal limits on what she is permitted to say about the matter. Anything anyone says can be used in court for example if there were charges brought against him.

Her husband was accused of some horrific, violent actions against women, and three of the women he admitted to having a relationship with. Also, he and CBS execs paid off a police captain to conceal the allegations. How can she be in such denial? I'd have more respect if she'd admit to what he did but found a way to forgive him than just not believing these women or the findings of the AG.

Julie Chen missed an opportunity to exercise her faith, i.e. demonstrate how God has helped her to forgive her husband. Failing to speak candidly about the very thing that led her to God makes one question the authenticity of her journey.
That being said, I don’t believe that the public is entitled to an answer to every question especially when it relates to people/ behaviours she has forgiven. However, as a Believer, she has a responsibility to those to whom she speak and wishes to reach, to provide an explanation for her refusal to speak on any matter.
For eg. When you forgive someone for wrongs they’ve committed, you may choose to never speak of it again and wipe their slate clean (the way God does with us when we seek His forgiveness), but you ought not to evade the question without explanation. It suggests that you have yet to heal and you’re probably not yet in a space to offer guidance on spirituality.

If you can forgive your husband for sexually assaulting over a dozen women, more power to you. To then make a statement saying that you told your child that those claims are false, and then use the Lord to try and revamp your image is exactly why a lot of people think Christian’s and religion is hogwash. The hypocrisy, and then these fake Christian’s using the Lord to try and dodge avoid responsibility is insane. She may have forgiven him, but it doesn’t even sound like that, she’s saying he is innocent so this isn’t even about forgiveness. It’s sad to see where she is now, I hope that she really is finding God and he gives her what she’s looking for, because this interview showed she hasn’t found it, even if she thinks she has.

She's quick to accuse people on Big Brother of being racist and destroying their lives on live tv, but believes her husband isn't a predator "because she knows her husband". Give me a break. The way she described herself before finding God is the same woman she is today. Self absorbed. And her sign off on big brother of "love one another" is as phony as this interview.

She makes it clear she doesn't want to talk about it, but if she were the reporter she was prior she would have asked those uncomfortable questions. She may be using religion to help her deal with the pain her husband has caused, but she also needs to address the women who have made the claims or read their information on their claims against her husband for her own freedom. Maybe they aren't true maybe they are, but as any women knows she needs to confront it.
