That’s a great ride considering all the unforeseen circumstances that prevailed. Questions if I may: That incoming sound, is the pedal cleat or the Go Pro mount banging? What tires did you use? Size of the field? What camera do you use? How you get all that screen data? Your rpms looked fairly decent throughout so you must have a roadie background. Anyways thanks for taking me along, it was a cool ride. Keep pedalling!
Thanks! The banging sound was when the rear GoPro mount broke. The camera was hanging on by a zip tie swinging and hitting the saddle, as well as the back of my leg. For tires I use 40mm Pirelli Centurato Gravel H. For my front camera it's a GoPro 10. I get the overlay data on the video using VIRB Edit. Regarding cadence, I've never ridden on the road or owned a road bike. I've only always had a MTB and bought my gravel bike fall of 2022. However, I ride a lot on the indoor trainer over the winter, so maybe it comes from that.
What camera system are you using that allows you to have your route along with power/HR/SPEED and all that on the video? I have the GoPro and I’m not impressed
Our local MTB race series has ended as have many of the Races. I raced a MTB 100 (Lumberjack 100) a month ago, but I had some filming issues so I couldn’t make a video out of it. I just finished a 7 day MTB bike packing adventure (Hut 2 Hut, Durango to Moab) that hopefully has some good video. I have 1 more MTB race on the schedule in 2 weeks and then the rest are gravel. Unfortunately, locally MTB racing is no longer popular.
Appreciate this upload! Came in handy for my rainy morning spin session. 👌😎
NICE VIDEO. VERY SCENIC ROUTE, VERY HELPFUL TO HAVE AWESOME VIDEOS LIKE THIS ONE TO GET ME THROUGH THE INDOOR WINTER WORKOUTS.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice race! I think I found a new training buddy for when I’m on the trainer!!
19th overall with all those stops - well done!
Thanks. Wish I hadn’t lost my nutrition, felt like I had the legs.

I use GoPro but I edit with Garmin VIRB that allows me to put overlays on my videos.
Do you think you will get back into mtb races.
