A nice slice of nostalgia today Roberto. I think that Greg Roberts had the same camera in one of his videos. Sorry, I meant Craig Roberts... It's a solid looking thing, that's for sure. I'll enjoy seeing the fruits of your creativity next time.
I buy what he buys... LOL.. Next purchase is the Nikon FM2.. to be fair I wanted to buy that camera way before Craig video... Hard part is getting any of these old cameras to work... hit and miss with Ebay
Well you put Jerry to sleep again :)) Neat little camera. Looks as good as the EM 10 mk II and the PEN PL-8, which look so classic. Split frame focusing is cool. My Dad's Agfa has it. There is a way to defeat the safe guards of taking an under or overexposed shot with the camera, trust me I can do it. Set the camera to ASA 100, then buy some ASA 400 speed film, and forget to reset the ASA. Let the fun begin! Back in the film days, the most detailed and color rich film I ever used was Ektar 25 speed -- whoa sharp! I now take thousands of images, so film is nothing I wish to deal with. Almost every aspect. of digital is for the better. Yes, there is something about old film days we may miss, and you may find some pluses to add for using film, but I am not looking back - going back. My oldest camera is a Kodak Brownie Holiday Flash -- no settings ;)
cool trick with the ISO... Yeah.. Its a nice novelty to revisit and play around with. Last year prob only did about 5 rolls. Its a bit of a hassel, but makes for a good fun video trip down memory lane... Im beginning to like tinkering also... although I have already ruined one camera, same with my watch collections... ruined a few of them also :-)
@@robdido The Pen half frames are good little cameras, they have sharp lenses it's a shame about the meter they suffer like the trips in that regard it's hard to find one with a working one. The Pen EE3 I've got fortunately does and is great it's given me some of the best photos I've gotten back. My Pen F (gothic) and 38mm f1.8 combo wins out though for being fully manual and for being able to focus! My recommendation is use a 24Exp roll as a 36Exp takes forever to finish!
Hi Rob I have just sold my Oly 35RC as it was getting no use and I also have the Oly 35RD which has a 1.7f 40mm lens. The RC is a great pocketable camera capable of great results. I also have the Ricoh 500G which has a similar spec to the Oly RC and in my opinion is easier to use.
Wow alan you collect too.. i heard about that ricoh.. the RD the same just 1.7.. dont shoot much but every now and then get an itch to shoot film.. i bought a monobath kit too.. happy days
@@robdido I have had a lot of cameras over the years and then seriously started collecting old cameras around 2012 for peanut prices. Olympus Trips for £5.00 etc. I am now selling most of them , they consist of Russian rangefinders, Compact rangefinders and a few SLRs although they dont seem to get as much interest as the compacts. I just find the old cameras so tactile and they teach you so much as they are basic tools. Limited speed, limited apertures and usually fixed focal length. Pleased to see Jerry has recovered. It’s good to have a dog with you on your walkabouts.
I forgot to mention that the Ricoh 500G was my main camera from 1972 as I preferred it to the Mamiya SLR that I had at the time as the Mamiya was like a brick in comparison.
@@alangamble3236 Yeah. makes you think twice before hitting that shutter. Prices gone through the roof... too many hipsters in the world.. I think they call themselves Lomographers these days... haha

@@robdido I think Jerry said, just don't mess with my food, and you can screw-up all the cameras and watches ya want to. :))
It's close focus is 3 feet or 1 metre and you need to turn knurled riny at front of lens to adjust film speed.
Thanks. Yes that's correct. I always measure by one arm outstretched is about 2 feet and then visualize to 3 feet
The aperature mechanism in this is the same as in the Trip 35 its a two bladed mechanism
Thanks. Didnt know that 👍
@@robdido you're welcome and you've gained a sub
@@jamesal6138 thanks james.. got a few rolls left... want to see if my pen half frame works.. but gotta shoot at 1/40 as the selenium not working

Good video Roberto, but you better stop buying cameras, do you have enough money left over to buy food for Jerry?🤣 Be well.
Haha.. ill take a million dollar photo with it and then jerry will eat like a princess.. haha 😄
